Now you're getting into CSAs. City populations are completely worthless, but MSA data matters.

Some of y'all who like to consider wider areas can dig up CSA info. As an example, I think Pine Bluff may be in Little Rock's CSA.

Census Fun

Don't you wish your team was in a real conference that had a big time championship game?

Shouldn't Bryan be included with College Station since the cities actually intertwine?

are they different economically, culturally, and socially? For instance, Auburn also has Opelika, however I would definitely not include their stats on this list as it doesnt really have much to do with the University

If you live there, you'll note some subtle differences, but to a visitor, you can't tell where one ends and the other begins. It's one town.

Atlanta is a 10 times more of an SEC city than Houston.

There are a lot of Aggies here. But just as much longhorns(in the city). Also a lot of tech/Baylor/TCU. The. You also have the Austin fanboys that root for texas because they think Austin is their version of Mecca.

While the Aggies have definitely embraced the SEC, the other fans of BIG 12 schools have not seen the light And do not care for it.

In other words the sec does not draw interest by every college football fan in Houston as much as in Atlanta.

Atlanta is hugely dominated by SEC alums from every school. overshadows the ACc area schools by a large margin.

Yeah, Houston is an LSU, A&M, and *insertrandomtexasschool* city.

Not so much other SEC teams.

Still a superior city to Atlanta.

Well I assure you that at 825,000 residents Baton Rouge is definitely a college town.
