That’s pretty bad. Not sure where to even start.
Will Drinkwitz still call your plays?

I’ve not watched enough NFL games to get a great read on Monken’s offensive system in recent seasons.

Openly admits to not knowing but we’ll give this ranking thing a shot anyway.

Try reading the list.

Some dumb Mizzou fans on here but none dumb enough to expect Eli to be higher on the list when he's not yet even coached a game.

Ensminger has to prove he can maintain the playcalling from last year but I would definitely put him higher than 8th

He is better than 8th even before last year. I think he is a damn good play caller.

That's the ridiculous flaw in the article. Is it play callers or offensive minds?

I know the quality of opponents wasn't great, but 2018 LSU's offense improved dramatically after the Bama game with Ensminger. The problem that season was the OL being so thin and Burrow not winning the job until August or whatever, if he had more time to practice with the first team, I think we would've seen a different offense in the first nine games

Who called the plays at FAU? Briles or Kiffin?

He was the HC at Appalachian State and beat North Carolina and South Carolina with lesser talents. Also he was running his offense there too! If he can go 12-1 in his first ever as a HC that is very impressive. Briles on the other hand didn't do crap! Drinkwitz have done a great job at every stop he went! Briles? Not so!

What about at FSU? you see he wasn't even retained by the new HC.

So Briles get a pass?

No. 6 Kendal Briles — Arkansas
Briles’ ability to get his offenses up to speed immediately is impressive. That characteristic should have Razorbacks fans excited for the coming season after 2 seasons of failures on that side of the ball. There aren’t many coaches who could have jumped from Baylor to FAU to Houston to FSU in consecutive seasons and experienced the level of success Briles had at the first 3 programs before the Willie Taggart era came to a screeching halt in Tallahassee. Things didn’t go according to plan for Briles last season, but if he can work around an average offensive line in 2020, the Razorbacks have enough firepower to make some noise on offense next season in Fayetteville.

no. 11 Eli Drinkwitz — Missouri
Drinkwitz’s quick rise in the coaching ranks is due to his offensive acumen and if he can quickly get that side of the ball rolling in Columbia, there’s an outstanding chance Mizzou will return to a bowl game immediately this season. The biggest question I have for Drinkwitz is how much production can he get out of a quarterback room without much college experience and a receiving corps likely to be led by a 3-time transfer in Damon Hazelton Jr. If Drinkwitz struggles to manufacture a passing game, Mizzou’s opponents will be quick to stack the box and force the Tigers to beat them through the air. We’ll quickly find out how creative Missouri’s head coach proves to be and if he can handle both the play-calling duties and head coaching responsibilities in the SEC.

Now you compare the two coaches. One that went 12-1 for a first timer and beat South Carolina and North Carolina. Then play calling is good at every stop he went to. Briles didn't do well at FSU! Then you got Drinkwitz upgraded the offensive coaches from the one Odom had when he was the HC. Odom did not have a good offense due to the offensive coaches were bad begin with. Drinkwitz just got another transfer that Drinkwitz saw was a weakness from last year. Missouri will have two receivers ready to play this fall that are a lot better than any receivers Missouri had last year. Drinkwitz knows what he is doing to get what was missing on the offense. This is showing he is a lot smarter and better than Odom and the OC that Missouri had last year. Huge upgrade!

As a Cat fan I think Eddie Gran is a better offensive mind than a play caller. He has called some boneheaded plays in his time but I can't argue it was brilliant last season to re-structure the offense the way he did. Any of these rankings are subject to the writer's biases and bound to anger someone. The truth is all these guys are pretty good or they wouldn't be in the SEC.

They scored 24 points against Arkansas. Burrow got better just by virtue of experience but that 2018 team did not have a good offense, especially considering the same players turned into the greatest offense of all time 1 year later.

Eight is about right for Ensminger. He has not proven himself capable of running an elite offense yet.

Very ill informed opinion.
