UGA plays one team a year in the regular season. Occasionally 2 if someone in the East is worth a crap. It's not hard to coach a team up for 1 game a year.

This is a poor effort. Played 3 teams in the final top 10 plus AU

Wow. So....let's see...Auburn averages 5 losses a year the last 5 years. I guess Gus has a hard time getting his team up for any of those. maybe he should concentrate on some of those other teams instead of putting all his eggs in the Alabama basket?

Only Auburn counts as a good team, though, because they are sooooo good!

Seems odd he wants to count Auburn as our one good team to play even though they average 5 losses a year over the last 5 seasons.

So is that. Smart played 4 teams in the final top 10 and went 1 for 4. Only beating UF. Or the year before when Smart only beat a top 10 OU and lost to Bama (split with Auburn if you are using the AP). But it's a good thing yall got you a coach that isn't losing the ones that count.

Without 1 game of KJ being hurt for Auburn, year before last, and Smart would be down in the Mullen Tier without any mention of him being anything but a middle of the East coach.

So, Gus is winning all the games that count? I mean, that is what this is about, right? Nope. Averaging 5 losses a year since 2013. Yet, somehow you are tooting Gus' horn even now. hey. Maybe you are right. Why don't you give him another extension and big raise?

You want to talk about weak schedules? georgia's SOS was #6 in the nation last year. Auburn? #28. Congrats. And you still lost FIVE games, including Tennessee. Gus is great.

Johnson didn't give up 28 points.

You need to come up with another excuse.

Nope but he wasn't healthy helping score 40 again.

If they start giving out NCs based on records against Auburn yall might get another.

He was healthy enough to gain a lot of yards on an unprepared defense.

Ok.

As long as yall believe Smart is the greatest based on his record against Auburn that all that matters.

Smarts 2017 was better than gus’ 2013 due to the lack of a miracle needed.

Smart took a 10-3 team to 8-5 while Gus took a 3-9 team to 12-2, in the West, and a NC game. Smart needed 2 years in the East.

Smarts best season was better than gus’ best season.

Smarts 2nd best season was better than gus’ 2nd best season.

Smart owns him head to head.

I'm sorry you can't comprehend the difference in the East and the west.

Gus also struggles vs bad east teams, so that excuse doesn’t really float.

Saban is king.
Fisher gets a slow clap.
Everybody after that is basically in the same boat until the hardware is in the football office.

Unfortunately, djsdawg is right (for once). Gus is only 7-7 against East teams.
