Are we going based on coaching career or who will be the better coach this year? If it’s this year I would go

1. Saban
2. Smart
3. Mullen
4. Orgeron
5. Fisher (Just because I don’t think he will be able to do anything with that brutal schedule)

Malzahn has won a NC as OC and been to a NC as a HC. Being a Bama fan I usually judge teams by how close they come to winning a NC. Mullen nor Orgeron has ever sniffed one as a HC.

I agree. But based on how he produced last year with talent i disagree. Stoops did a hell of a lot more with less talent. I think he is a better coach

Might want to specify that. If you are asking who the best coaches are, that implies that they are presently good. Coaching career

1. Saban
2. Malzhan
3. Fisher
4. Smart
5. Mullen

Malzahn I feel had the better overall results when he was good. SEC championships are pretty hard to come by with Alabama in the league

There are two HC's who have natty rings as a HC, they should be #1 and #2. Everyone else after that because a lot of this is subjective.

The Kentucky Coach is doing a great job, but where should he be ranked?

Gus didn't have a career outside of Auburn. His one year of head coaching experience was in Arky St. Gus has got to go.

3. Fisher

4. Mullen/Malzahn/Orgeron

After the first 3 theres a big drop-off

I don’t get the Malzahn love. Just because he made it to one NC game in the BCS era (and lost).
The last Oregon Ducks coach that got fired did the same thing in the playoff era. Nobody even knows that guy’s name

Also “winning a NC as a coordinator” doesn’t carry much weight at all
Half of the coaches in the SEC can boast that claim

Gus, Nick, Jimbo, Merlinz all have seasons which they lost 6 games as a head coach.

Kirby Smart and Joe Moorhead have never lost more 6 or more in a season as a head coach.
