Yeah, I need to make it out to Death Valley soon.

How in the frick do you rank a stadium according to what you see on TV? Bamas stadium looks 1000 times better than what it looks on TV. I remember how small B/D was when the tide used to play in Legion Field. Upon going in there lately, I have to give Bama the number one ranking in the SEC. They did a hell of a job on improving it. Tiger Stadium is ugly with the broken windows and all.

Razorback Stadium is so quiet you can hear a pin drop and/or a fart from across the stadium......
but.......
It is as clean, aesthetically pleasing, and technologically advanced as any stadium in the SEC/Nation. Period.
The concourses are enormous, the bathrooms are spotless, almost 20k of the 72k seats are indoor/club level, the entire South Endzone is chairback, the video board is one of the nations largest, and the stadium includes museums, shopping, and restaurants.
If you are looking for large and loud, leave us out of the discussion because we are closer to a Bentley than a Monster Truck.
(And a new million dollar playing surface doesn't hurt either)

SEC wise, I would say as far as being a really nice stadium;

10) Arkansas
If you're going by "really nice stadiums," Arkansas is way too far down on your list. They should be at or near the top. FWIW, you had LSU listed twice.

UT are pretty nice too.
Been to Neyland twice, and it really isn't nice. It's big and loud but not nice.

I agree. Tiger Stadium, though big and intimidating, is a bit rundown. I can't wait to see what Alleva plans to do to improve its look over the next few years. It can easily be one of the top facilities in the league if some of the problems are addressed.

It's not really made to be. That's where we sit the visitors.
Aside from that --
Bryant-Denny 2010...

Did you sit in the new section? It looks good but it's not very functional. Way to steep.
Ever been in the upper decks at LSU?

The old west upper was very steep. But LSU's new east and west are not as steep as the old one. I actually enjoy sitting up there.

They are making some pretty serious upgrades to change the "not nice" part of your statement. Things like widening concourses, revamping the entrances all around the stadium, updating the outside(adding a whole bunch of brick and glass), updating the scoreboard, etc etc. It started taking place a few years ago and will continue after the season for the next few years until 2012 I think.

Hopefully, Tiger Stadium will see similar renovations in the near future.

FWIW, I think the Swamp is at least tied with LSU for loudness.

It is...but it's still fun to argue about it.
The Swamp is louder than Jordan Hare which is louder than LSU.

Wonder if you're counting those tickets in those premium seats that are still available in Jordan Hare?

Jordan Hare is pretty freaking loud. Not sure about it being louder than LSU, however.

I have been to TS about a half dozen times and JH too many to count.
I think JH is consistantly louder for a big game. Period.
Oh yeah, and 3 games at the Swamp which I believe is the loudest due to design. The noise at the swamp also has a higher pitch that is almost more of a metallic ring at times. I think the Swamp's design simply lends itself to more noise than any other in the SEC.

LSU and UF are the 2 loudest consistently.
The loudest I have ever heard a stadium in my life was at BDS Bama/LSU 2007 after Arenas ran the punt back for a TD.
ETA: Not SEC related, but Doak was as loud as it ever was at the UF game in 2000. The game was 30-7 so there wasn't a moment with the game on the line, but everyone knew we were going to play for the NC.

I believe most of your bama brethern may disagree there (about TS louder than JH).
Hell last year after the AU/LSU game, their were multiple LSU fans honestly stating that JH was louder than TS.
