MS sucks in a lot of ways, but you can make 50k coming out of school and feel like a boss, so there's that.

I would too and I lived in Louisiana for 22 years. Take away the food and salt water fishing, and everything else in those other states is better.

I lived lived in Texas (Houston ) , Tennessee (Memphis and Nashville), Louisiana (New Orleans ) . I'll take Mississippi thank you . Also lived in Virginia (Charlottesville ) . Been to Atlanta and it sucks . So does Houston Texas . Give me a small town in Mississippi any day . Florida is ok but I like a change in seasons . Any place in the south is better than yanked land

You know how I know that you've never actually visited Columbia and Charleston?

Completely depends on city. For instance, I'd rather live in NO than montgomery, but I'd rather live in Hoover than Ruston. Anyways, to give you somewhat of an answer:

Ya, I don't know. I just wasn't really impressed. Don't really have any bad things to say. Have spend most of my life right outside Houston, Little Rock and suburbs of Memphis. Would take Texas over all those in a second

I think we can all agree that anywhere in the south is much better than yankee land. I absolutely hate the northeast US, complete shithole that doesn't believe in the words "update","remodel", "renovate", or "new construction". Armpit of America.

Texas is tough to gauge. The cities are very different. I love Dallas, but don't really like Houston, and would rather kill myself than live in Austin.
South Texas is basically Mexico, East Texas sucks in places, and for some odd reason, I really like the Texas Panhandle.

Where did you live? I'm assuming you didn't actually live in Houston but in the outskirts. Lived in Sugar land for awhile and loved it.

Then no clue, but AL and GA would likely be near the bottom.

To be honest I think there are some great states to live in in our footprint. For me, obviously, its Texas, but I think South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, and Tennessee would be fantastic as well.

I have, but the no selling beer on Sundays is a dealbreaker.

Texas and Tennessee are way above the rest. I could live in all the SEC states though with the right living and job situation
