5.Richt - 2 SECC, great winning percentage...needs to win it all to move up.

He should be doing better at UGA. If Saban, Spurrier, Meyer, Miles, Fulmer, Croom, Johnson, Petrino or even nutt were at UGA they would have the more SEC championships. He does just enought to be average.

quote:

8.Fulmer - No SEC titles in 10 years..only 2 in 15+

I'm sure Manning/Martin has helped, but that team wasn't the team it is now before he got there. It's not like Tenn is Florida or LSU. BTW, he has the same SEC titles as Richt and more National Championships.

quote:

9.Johnson - Great coach, crappy school

10.Brooks - See above

I think Brooks lucked into a good season, although he has brought in some good talent, but Kentucky >>> Vandy, imo. Johnson has brought an aweful aweful program to respectability.

quote:

12.Petrino - Hasn't coached in SEC, not impressed with Louisville.

How were you not impressed with Louisville when he was there? It got him an NFL gig and almost got him hired at LSU and Miami.

The point I was trying to make, and did a poor job of it, is that the year before they went undefeated, they went to the Music City Bowl and finished 8-5. I believe the difference was Al Borges that year.

I'm not saying Coaches like The Hat and The Visor etal are anything short of excellent at what they do, but top coaches don't always have 5* players by the locker room full, and most have built or overcome something.

I think Brooks gets the shaft simply for being at UK. He's COACHED a helluva lot at UK to do what he has done against the likes of Richt, Miles, and both Bowden's to name a few.

Then there's Rodman. No football knowledge, just a Les Miles hater who only posts on this forum to dog Miles.

1 - Spurrier - Not saying i like the man, but he brought Florida on the map, helped establish the SEC's current dominance, and USCe has gotten better since he arrived

2 - Meyer - look at what he did pre FLA, and to win a title in two years after taking the team over when it was in somewhat of a disarray

3 - Tuberville - brought winning to Ole Miss, consistancy to AU

4 - Saban - Made MSU competative in a state that was all about Mich. Look what he accomplished in 5 yrs at LSU, and look at bama recruiting

5 - Miles - Brought OSU out of OU obscuriety. strong LSU recruiting and awsome record

6t - Rict/Fulmer - Fulmer has a title, and SECC appearences. Both have consistant dominance in SECe. Both are what have you done lateley's though

8 - Croom - look what he has done with what he has to work with at MSU

9 - Nutt - Arkansas always found a way to stay in the top 3 in the west, with a number of SECC appearances, but loses alot of points for his team managing (latter ark career scandles)

10 - Petrino - Potential great, but stay somewhere long enough to prove it's not a fluke

11 - Brooks - need more on his resume

12 - Johnson - Doing well with the conference graduation bumper, but then again does vandy really support it's athletic department?

it would me...outside of 04, every year Tuberville has games where his teams look totally unprepared and unmotivated, and his bowl performances are mediocre at best.

I will go on record here AGAIN to say that Miles is my FAVORITE LSU FOOTBALL COACH OF ALL TIME!!!!

Does that make me want to suck his cock like you? No!

The man like all of us has positives and negatives. Sorry it hurts your little feelings to talk about anything that might be considered a negative about your man crush.

Miles brought a team that was 13-20 the three years prior to him taking over. went 4-7 his forst year, but then went on to have three straight winning seasons (24-14) at a school that is a distant #2 to OU

Thats not a great record, but i know Ole miss or MSU would love to have that kind of three year spam.

At after leaving OSU is 18-19 in the last three years

How do you consider Croom a "great coach" when he has only 1 winning season in the last four. I think hes a "good-average" coach but not great.

The media has made Croom into a God.

As it pains me, I must agree with the rebel here. Let's wait until after this year to see where Croom really stacks up.

LOL, Seriously..you feel UGA should win the SEC every year and that if we had Miles or those others we would..even though they don't win the SEC every year at their current schools? So I guess you think UGA has more "potential" than LSU, AU, UT, UF? Richt's 72-19 in 7 years (That's better than any of the coaches you mentioned btw). He's got 2 SEC titles, 3 SECC appearances. That's "average" iyo?
