Who sends radioactive material via FedEx?!?!?! Obviously TAMU

I guess the issue is too obscure for some of the Aggies here who want to blame it on FeEx, Arkansas, Minnesota, the tooth fairy (a well-known Aggie grad), or claim it never got to the campus.
The root (down aggie! down I say!) issue is "what group in Aggieland orders radioactive material to be delivered in a plain, brown, unmarked, card-board box?" And for what purpose?

probably not the first time radioactive material has been shipped.
they have rules and protocol for this type of thing.
SOP is SNAFU.
i would, however, rule out the pony express.

I'm positive it's just some low level shite and shipping it FedEx happens all the time.
Y'all do know that we have a small nuke plant on campus, right? If we wanted the real stuff it's right there near the airport.

Cute, but dumb. We've got all the radioactive material we could want here at both the U of A and our nuclear power plant. Points for trying though.

how many aggies does it take to deliver a package of radioactive material?
jus askin
jus askin

Aggies didn't deliver it.
That's the problem.
Had we done so, the material would've be in sacred hands long ago and a pristine statue would be in place, borne of Aggieland's newest mail delivery tradition.

So after saying this...
Guess where it was found...

Texas A&M University has been working with Federal Express to locate a missing package that was shipped to — but we are confident was not received by - the Texas A&M Radiation Safety Office

Yea we have radionuclides shipped to our lab all the time. And sometimes they just end up missing...i mean delayed.

LSU should be worried.
Be safe Tigers. Be wary of nervous homos holding a clock with wires wearing maroon.
Florida and Texas A&M fans should be wary of a 230 lb. package that wears #7.

Probably no worries.
Texas Aggies manufacturer large amounts of radioactive isotopes which often have a half life of maybe 48 hours for use in industries all over the country.
So the radioactivity level decays very rapidly.
