He's a good player. Ole Miss fans are overly sensitive about him being overrated. Ole Miss haters are overly critical. Everybody in the league would want him on their team

The stat that I'd love to see, is how many QB hurries he's had.

It just seems odd that he could be seen as an All-American by the media but not even All-SEC by the coaches that gameplan against him.

The media can be horrifically dumb at times.

I can give dozens of examples of when they hyped a kid that ended up not being great or plenty of examples of when the media said so and so team has not shot and then the team with no shot dominates the game.

Even NFL GM's can be dumb at time and fall for the trap of drafting a guy in the first round based on potential that never happens.

Is that your new slogan now? Is "most overhyped, overrated, overpaid" replacing "done, over" or "over the middle?"

The most interesting thing to me is that he didn't make the two-deep for the Coaches All-SEC team. It just seems odd that he could be seen as an All-American by the media but not even All-SEC by the coaches that gameplan against him.

Ciron Black was voted 1st Team All-SEC as Left tackle in 2009. I can assure you that was based on a reputation that his knee problems and issues with physical conditioning cost him sometime during the early part of the 2008 season and never let him regain.

He was credited with 3 in 2013.

I'm having trouble finding the number for 2014. Through 9 games he had 1 QBH according to the Clarion Ledger when they announced him as a candidate for the Lombardi Award.

On every other official list I've seen, it credits him with zero.

Was hoping you'd show up and enlighten us about why the SEC Coaches left him off their All-SEC list.

You told me you knew I didn't know anything about football because I don't watch film on individual players and that's why I was saying he was overhyped - because I was just looking at statistics.

What about the head coaches in the conference? Why would they leave him off their two-deep All-SEC list? I wonder how much film they watch?

The Clarion Ledger credited him with 1 QBH through 9 games in an article written on November 4th.

this.

He can be extremely disruptive up the middle but he misses on a lot of should-be sacks. He takes bad angles and over pursues a lot.

He does face a lot of double teams so that coupled with the above lead to not very many tackles too. Marquis Haynes' success is directly related to this though.

And he's going to be a top 20 pick. If he can correct his pursuit issues he would be poised for a monster season because our Dline is way more stacked this year than last and people aren't going to be able to double him as often.

In short: yes overhyped by many. Yes under hyped by just as many.

Oh, you were serious?

Pro tip, coaches don't take time out of their day to vote on that shite....don't be an idiot.
