Year but he’s in the hunt most years. I don’t know expect Johnson to win the CWS every year or even the SEC but my Lord, I didn’t expect this kind of drop. I KNOW..they lost a lot but they should re-load.

Looks like LSU has been the more consistent program over the last decade.

And no I wouldn't trade one title for falling off the face of the earth like say OM or MSU. Rather be a top 3 team for 20 years consistently as that is a lot more entertainment for fans
Nice cope coming from a fan who has no idea how good it feels to see your team lift the natty trophy in Omaha.

Obviously I'd take the best of both worlds, but if winning one means we stop trying and become a doormat, I'm not so sure.

Ole Miss has been consistently good for 2 decades. The natty means more than anything else Ole Miss has done over the last 2 decades. Maybe one day Arkansas will know what winning the CWS feels like. But for now the most memorable Arkansas baseball moment for most people is dropping that foul ball. And losing the natty. No one remembers anything else you did because every season ended in a loss no matter how many games you won.

You seem really bothered by the fact that we're happy with the consistency and current standing of our program.

Getting booster money for football isn't the problem as the boosters have been very reluctant on spending millions on football that has been bad since joining the SEC.
The hiring of Cal and paying him more than the football coach means that Arkansas is no longer a football first school.
Football is getting more NIL money but not some serious amount and supposedly the Hunt family was unaware that football was behind many or most SEC schools in NIL.

DVH brings in solid recruiting classes even with the MLB draft year after year and the facilities are awesome.

saying Jay won with former coaches players is really weak when you look at the pitching staff that former coach left him
Jay works a lot harder and takes on more responsibility than that former coach ever did, that coach didn't recruit and was very dependent on a competent pitching and hitting coach to survive
