, I wouldn't count the UGA game as a loss just yet

Hard not too until Mullen actually brings his A game and wins that game. I wouldn’t fire him but I would make him fire Grantham and his staff for sure. Go hire Mizzou’s guy. I love the Cover 1 he plays and it would mesh with our talent.

I reckon that TAMU loss has probably set for too long. What's it been, about a month and no redemption?

It’s more I have no faith in any improvement. We’ll run the same players and scheme on D, M.Davis will still get carries. Just never any changes with this staff. Play seniority and let young guys transfer that are more talented. Just frustrated.

Here's the rub, who can you reasonably bring in to do better? He's a good fit culturally in that he runs a fun offense. Unfortunately for him, if he doesn't win the East this year it's not looking good for the next year or so. If UGA wins this year it can have a snowball affect like Spurrier did to UGA and UT where it will be a mental block.

I mean at this point I’d say any talk of firing him is premature.

He needs to win the East and he needs to recruit one step above where he is at now.

What we are seeIng right now is the misses on recruiting defense come home to roost the past two years. Especially on the dl. That and some really bad coaching on that side.

Offense clearly he’s fine. And as a Florida fan that makes me happy. Florida won a ton of games with mediocre defenses and amazing offenses for a long while.

And given the nature of how cfb works right now I say let him stay for a while. Uf could use the stability for a bit. Even if he doesn’t win the East. 6 years of 10 wins for example would have Florida in a very good place and probably ready to tAke the next step. Hopefully it doesn’t take that long but who knows.

Why do people always assume that a change will make things better? We’ve all seen times when it got much worse.

I think Mullen is a good coach. I think, however, to win at the level blue blood programs like UF demand he needs to recruit better.

Sounds right to me. I also like Mullen - and would take him at Kentucky in a heartbeat. But good enough in Lexington isn't good enough in Gainesville - and it shouldn't be. Gainesville has established a much higher standard.

Actually I was against Mac after year 2 and wanted him fired immediately after Michigan year 3. I also wanted Champ fired after the 4 win season. You are a babbling moron. Go cut your wrist and see what happens please.

Yeah, I get it. We feel the same about Alabama, and Auburn feels the same about us.

There's the key. Get rid of Grantham and find a bonafide DC.

Would you give this coach an extension?

I don't deal in contract stuff, but I am happy with Mullen as our coach. I think talent wise we are a top 20 team and the difference is Mullen's in game coaching. I don't mind that we are not the favorite because I think the top teams in the recruiting rankings are cheating, and we are never going to get the support or the lack of oversight to be able to do that with any consistency. I know it is just my opinion, so take it for what it is worth.

No he is not the answer. Mike Leach is the answer and you guys should offer him. Y'all have the cash to pay him whatever you want and he set an all time record this year.

We are 7th. 4th in the SEC. with more depth than LSU. The only teams with more talent are Alabama and Georgia. Think A&M proved Mullen doesn’t win every game he has more talent in.

He can win the east if he recruits a little better and keeps getting elite quarterback play. You have to face the facts though, Kirby has lapped the field in recruiting. Georgia doesn't just have a little more talent than UF, they have a lot more.
