This you admitting to defending him in year 3? Interesting...
There are quite a few gems from our idiotic fan base in that thread. Moral of the story, you all have no idea and should listen to me.

Why do you morons put the apostrophe AFTER the year?! Jesus people.

I'm reading it as "18 feet 10-3 losses"...

You’re projecting

It’s kind of ironic how you say loss to UGA then claim someone else is projecting. Mullen is a damn good coach and you should be ashamed of yourself for this thread.

Besides, who else would Florida get?

I don't keep up with Florida closely, but I'll be honest with you. Mullen was great at State and I was worried when he went to Florida. He recruited a little better each year at State and they got better each year. They were tough from the moment he arrived in Starkville.

I thought that Mullen would be competing for championships in his 3rd year at Florida, but I'm just not seeing it. It's not that I think Florida is bad, but I just expected more out of Mullen there. He's performed under my expectations since he's been there and I have no idea why.

This is what scares me. Florida’s own Mark Richt. I don’t want 10 years of 2nd place.

If your AD can find someone else better then he should do that.

Last year UF would have been in ATL if Georgia was not already way ahead. Kirby had two years to get Georgia up before Mullen arrived to a 4 win team with over 55 percent of the roster being three stars or worse.

If you are deluded enough to think he can instantly match what Kirby did in a weak East with no top team in it, you are beyond delusional. Recruiting isnt elite, but it has been good enough the last two years to win a title. That first full class def hurt us though, especially with so many never actually playing.

The difference between Mullen and Mac, is Mullen has improved every year so far. Will we this year? We shall see. If he can not win the East this year he will face serious pressure next year, and fairly.

It is absurdly early right now though. He had to rebuild a crappy roster. We now have the same amount of blue chips as Auburn and LSU. So we now have a good enough roster to not make roster excuses. If he loses a lot this year, it is on him. His first year was remarkable considering what he walked into. Second year we saw the team improve. At least wait till this magical third loss happens before losing your damn mind like an idiot.

Do not even try to claim I'm a pumper either. I was hard on Champ and Mac, I'm not as tough on Mullen because I can see the growth yearly. I saw him hire better recruiters after year 2 realizing it was an issue. I see him developing an elite offense. Yearly growth is the expectation until winning in ATL. If he falls back, then we can discuss if he can get it done. Let it play out.

It sure looks that way. Florida has a very different Mullen than what I remember at State.

Would you give this coach an extension?

20’ 8-3 losses to A&M, UGA, TBD 2nd in east

What is Mullen? Is he our long term answer? The record obviously isn’t bad but 2nd in the east is getting old. Do you extend Mullen and keep trying? Let him finish his contract? Fire him all together and get someone else? If you were in our shoes how would you feel?

You’re ready to fire a 10-11 win coach the past 2 seasons for a guy with no HC experience

Like I said. Dumb

How many years do you put up with ten wins but no SEC titles?

We won 4 games before he arrived. I think he’s earned more time considering what he walked into

3 more. if you want a number. The whole team will be his guys and by then any staff changes should’ve been made.

But again, you fire a 10 plus winning Dan Mullen, you’d BETTER have the next Saban in your back pocket

Two years. If he cant win by next year may be time to think about it.

He is in year three and was hampered coming in. Georgia got a two year head start but three years is long enough to close the gap. Now he has to win. If he cant this or next year then maybe it is time to see if Lane Kiffin wants a better job
