I would have a hard time supporting the school if something this fricked up happened at UT.

Of course, I doubt many could envision Joe Pa do it either.
It's a hypothetical.

Well, then the perpetrator and those who covered up should be tried, and if found guilty, spend the rest of their life in prison. As far as supporting the school thru attending events and donations...I don't know honestly. that's a tough question. Probably so, what was done was done, the guilty is dealt with, moving on is really the only option.

That's the same way I'm leaning.

As long as everyone who knew about it and did nothing were punished and no longer part of the organization, I would be able to move on.

If LSU was letting Les BF kids and get away with it, I'd be the first in line to say punish the school to the full extent of your powers. Winning games is not more important than the children's lives Sandusky ruined

What would your reaction be? Stop donating, stop supporting sports, keep your head down and move on, or ???

You can't punish the players or the University for what happened. The Coach got fired, the Pres. got fired and the AD got fired. And the wrongful coach will go to prison.

Now you regroup and start positive ads about what a great U PS is.......

I would call the parents in individually and seek a settlement to keep as much out of court and out of the press as soon as
possible.

I would treat the whistle blower as a hero and offer him a job.

What I will never understand is if Mcqueary saw what he saw, why didn't he beat Sandusky to a pulp right there.

McQueary replied: “If (you) want to argue about 9, 10, 11, 12 ... the fact is he had sex with a minor, a boy.”

Doesn't that warrant an arse beating right there on the spot?

He had a choice. Fight or flight, and he didn't choose to fight. That's about all there is to it.

Yes. McQueary is a worthless coward, just like the rest of the trash that has been running that school for the last decade+.

I don't understand that choice.

Never mind...I understand the choice perfectly now. Apple not far from the tree.

I'm like you don't really understand why it happened the way it did. Too many question marks with the only person knowing what was truly covered up dead. That's why you just have to just head on down to the Penn St. Ice cream shoppe ( no homo) and move on.

What's to understand about any of it, the act, the coverup, etc? People are different and react differently in various situations. What happened has happened, why they are a POS is not important in my book.

They would have to fire all of the administration, pay all the civil suits and discontinue the football program for me even to consider associating myself with the university ever again.
I would more than likely transfer out to Auburn, Vandy or LSU and never regret it.

Why someone's first thought isn't to rescue the kid but to call Daddy and abandon the child isn't important? Okay, but it is in mine. Agree to disagree then.

Personally, I would continue to support my school. I am an alumni of Auburn so I will always be tied to it.

That said, if I had no ties to it (like about 75% of all school's fanbases) then I would jump ship and find another school to cheer on.

I've been an Ole Miss fan my entire life and always expected to go there unless I got into an Ivy League school out of high school. But if they pulled shite like this then I would drop them and never associate myself with them ever again.
