I noticed hatcher.... Oh hatcher

I also noticed one pass to Kenny bell that should have been 6, but our Dline got enough pressure to make AJ throw it a second too early.

I noticed that the 11-5 games was on the road and the next game will be at a neutral site. This might mean something...........

I think that was the play that Saban freaked out on

The emergence of Minter and Hilliard should be a hug plus for us 1/9. Although, I don't think Hilliard is going to run all over Bama by any stretch, he will be more productive than Ware with the same type of carries (inside power runs). I think Ford and Blue will be more effective than Hilliard and Ware.

Minter as a plus is obvious, it gets Hatcher off the field.

Copeland was a bit dinged up towards the end of the season, but him being healthy is also going to help a lot.

Hatcher is brutal. Ford on the option is lethal though. I think Alabama can sure things up on defending it though. They might not completely stop it, but should be much better.

I for one would love to see JJ pitch to gore. People think ford is fast, but gore is lightning in a bottle. He's physical too.

something that makes me more confident is that TR's pass yards came off of blown assignments, i think we can fix that this time around

I really think it comes down to fresh legs. LSU will throw out 4 RBs. No doubt that Bama has quality depth at LB, but Saban has severe trust issues sometimes and really wants those starters to stay in. If the LBs get worn down by Copeland, Ware, and Hilliard, that will help Ford on the option in the 4th, similar to the OT carry on 11/5.

There was a play in the 4th where Hightower tried to cut off Ford on the sideline and it looked like he was literally jogging. He didn't have much left by then.

My thoughts as. Have ware, Hilliard , and Copland wear then down. Then throw in ford and blue on the option to finish them off. There's a reason fourth and third string backs get huge gashes through the lines late.

JJ has to come through in the passing game though. I go back to the Arkansas game after HB's strips the RB. Every play that drive was a pass to RR, Boone, or Shepard. Not one run. He's got it in him.

This thread may lead me to buy the game from secdigitalnetwork and watch it this evening. And then several more times until 1/9.

For the 'Bama should have punted instead of trying the FGs' crowd, which of the 6 attempts should have been punts instead?

How about the ones that were 4th and 20's?

Only one of your 4th downs were less than 5 yards and the rest were 8-20 yards

Have any of y'all watched the game again? If so did you see things that you didn't see in the first one? Stuff that either makes you more or less confident? Maybe certain matchups that you don't catch when the game is live.

I did. Noticed that LSU was getting alot of TFLs from their defense and Alabama wasn't. There were 4 nice plays by Bama in the first half but not much outside of that by the Tide. Penalties hurt us more in the first half and y'all more in the 2nd half. I felt really good that with two extra possessions for Bama (on the INTs), LSU was still able to win the game.

Having the ability to press the edge the entire game with JJ and Ford along with Ware and Hilliard pounding the middle makes me feel pretty good after rewatching it. Plus, we didn't have our usual big turnover. I think we'll pull one or more of those on the 9th. I expect we'll start to gain momentum in the 2nd half like we did on 11.5.

It's hard to say. It wasn't the kicking that pissed me off. The reverse where Maze falls down for a 10 yards loss was bad. Then they kick anyways. Running to the sideline with Lacey for big losses on 3rd down, then kicking the field goals anyways. Throwing an INT with a WR on 1st and 10 from the 27. shite like that was so aggravating......beyond aggravating.

This.

I think LSU fan's optimism comes from 11.5 final result and almost every bowl game (except for that slop fest vs Penn St) we have dominated when Les has that much time to prepare. Anybody's guess what happens 1.5 given the expert coaching staffs on both sides. Should be a better game of the century this go around. Can't wait.
