No Auburn fans know what to expect at this point. Negabarners are thinking 2012, posibarners are thinking that LSU will be our turnaround game. The concern outside of QB is that we can't run against a 9 man box and we can't seem to do anything with a read-option QB.

Depth and injuries are a major concern. If Lawson, Mathews, and Garret can't stay healthy..it will be a long season. Also the O-line has not played as well as I expected thus far.

I don't usually agree with you CleburneCounty/Phan, but you are correct sir.

I expect to lose just because the game is played in Baton Rouge. If it was played in Auburn, I would expect to win. I don't think anybody can answer if JJ's problems will continue because I don't think anybody expected them in the first place.
I still think Auburn has a chance to be pretty good even if they lose because of a favorable schedule. Only 3 road games left after LSU and two of those are to Kentucky and Arkansas.
Part of the problem with the defense has been injuries. Probably 6 or 7 key players missed all or part of the JSU game with injuries. Hopefully some of those players will be back this week but two or three of them probably won't be

That Barber guy you guys have is a beast, but I have my doubts he will be very effective .
He won't be effective if JJ can't get 9 out of the box. If LSU can stack the box and laugh while JJ fricks up then our offense will just be shut down and shite.
Barber will have a good game if JJ pulls his head out of his arse and manages the game well. I also think that they need to run the read draw 5 or 6 times as a keeper to keep the defense in check.

Does he throw for over 100 in Tiger Stadium? Or will Gus try trick plays and the run game? Anymore games like that and Gus will never turn him loose.
I honestly think that if Gus will speed up the offense to a HUNH instead of a run to the line and wait 20 seconds while we signal in, JJ can get out of his own way and make some throws. If this happens, I think he will throw the ball about 20 times for about 200 yards with a touchdown and a pick.

would be really cool if this thread could be for honest discussion about the upcoming game.
I gave an honest answer. I am sorry for anyone else not taking the OP seriously.

Did you mean 300? I can guarantee you be throws for at least 180-220.
Will Harris get enough attempts to surpass 100-150 is the better question. I doubt we win against Auburn with 14 attempts for 71 yards and half the attempts being screens or check downs.
Johnson has made some bad decisions, but aside from the interceptions his numbers haven't been awful.

Barber will drag your undersized DL around the field by their dicks
Johnson will throw for 250, 2 TDs 1 INT
Johnson will throw for 250, 2 TDs 1 INT

I'm interested to know if most auburn fans see JJ's poor performance as something to be expected going forward. I know their were high expectations for this team. Do yall feel like Auburn shapes up into the quality football team we have come to expect or do you expect this to play out as a rough season? Aside from some questionable QB play where are you most worried about this team? I'm asking seriously because I have yet to be able to watch them play this year.
I appreciate your honesty so I'll return the favor.
I bought into the Johnson hype. He has a talented arm. He has shown he either cannot read a defense or cannot handle the pressure (both pressure of the hype as well as blitz pressure) and forces some throws. I still believe in his talent, but in order to be successful he needs to look for the short throws before moving his eyes downfield. Play calling will help with that some. He's not the next Manning, but he can be serviceable enough to make throws to keep the defense honest. I think the offense will find a balance. He is better than what he has shown.
What worries me more is the defense. Without Matthews and Countess in the secondary, we are just too young and inexperienced. WIthout Lawson, our pass rush is non-existent. Fully healthy, like in the first half against Louisville, we had a penetrating front and the secondary is not left as exposed. We will see. I think it will be a close game with the team who makes the most plays at the end winning. 28-24 or 31-27 type score.

Game is all about our D.
If Lawson, Mathews, and Garret are healthy and 90% or better, LSU better pack a lunch.
If Lawson doesn't play we are fricked. If mathews or garret do not both also play, I don't like our chances.
