ESPN Insider reported today that while Auburn is in the picture, MSU is the leader in the clubhouse with Newton.

He would be such a good fit for MSU. They were a Cam Newton away from 7 or 8 wins this year.

Agreed, he would be a god there. He'd probably have a statue if they won 8 with him. We'll see though, most respectable Auburn guys think he's ours to lose.

we were a cam newton away from 9-3 as well. with him we dont lose UGA or Kentucky games and probably alabama as well.

I agree. As far as most Auburn fans thinking that he is theirs to lose. Most State fans thinks he's ours to lose. No, your qb was way better than Lee. Your QB wasn't a 5'8" garden gnome.

Chris Relf is only a two star QB. I'm not sure he can be made much more than he already is.

Oh I know. He won't start this year even if we don't get Newton. Tyler Russell was 3* and Mr. Football.

I thought he was 4 and then a bunch of people said he was 3. Either way Relf won't be starting and it's not the end of the world if Newton isn't there.

TDS and Beer, I agree 100%. Do I want him at State? yes. Is it the end of the world if he doesn't come? No. At any rate, we will be better at QB this year than last almost no matter what.
