quote:There will be some no shows. It will still be a good crowd, but it doesn't have the same buzz as a regular weekend game even when we are playing well. Due to the holiday, if it's a night game, you'll have a lot of students rolling into town that afternoon. If it's an 11 a.m. game, I think a lot of students will pass in order to spend time at home.
I have been trying to visit one or two SEC stadiums each year. Will it be the normal Aggy experience or will the fans be a no show since it is a down year and Thanksgiving break?

“In front of the MSC, there are 70 trees that surround Simpson Drill Field to honor the 70 Aggies that gave their lives in World War I. Inside the Honor entrance of the MSC stands the Aggies Lost in Service memorial which lists names of Aggies who made the ultimate sacrifice since WWII. Additionally, the Hall of Honor memorializes eight brave Aggies who received the Congressional Medal of Honor for their distinguished acts of valor.
The MSC also houses three art galleries, multiple eating facilities, a bookstore, piano practice rooms, and The Flag Room. The Flag Room, also known as the “living room of Texas A&M,” is a place where students often gather to study, meet friends to eat, have meetings, or just to take a nap between classes.
Since the MSC is a living memorial, those entering the building are asked to remove their hats. Those walking outside are asked not to walk on the grass outside surrounding the facility, also as a sign of respect to fallen Aggies.”

I'm thinking this will be true for the fans as well. Not sure there will be many large tailgates, etc. if we have an 11:00a kick. Waiting on the TV time to come out before I make a decision on going

Yes, most teams have fans leave early when likely to lose at some point in the 4th quarter, A&M is no different. His comment is just that the stadium will be full to start. As I noted (because I was at the game), the stands were plenty full for most of the game despite it being: 1) 11am kickoff, 2) we are a bad team, and 3) Florida not being a good team either.
But don’t let me get in the way of your all consuming hate of all things A&M….

It will be full.
I may be selling my tickets but there are always other Aggies or Tigers that want them.

The Aggie Band halftime show is a countermarch that my HS drum corp did with 15-17 year olds. Not impressive to those teenagers who mastered it before they could legally drive.

You should stick to speaking on behalf of Texas. Kyle will be full. We aren't fair weather fans like y'all.
Care to comment on this, non-fair weather fan?
