Your "trend" would indicate LSU blows out A&M in 2021

That’s certainly one interpretation that could be valid. Another could be that we go along the overall pattern and that the one loss was impacted by an anomaly in Burrow. We throw out our CoVid year as well and the Ags are 1-0 still.

I don’t think this will end well for you without your starting QB. But maybe he will heal by then. I hope he does. Truly.

For a "scientist' you sure are ignoring a lot of data and fixating on a certain narrative.

Not true. All recent data with Jimbo as the coach is relevant. Data prior to that doesn’t effect the outcome, so by definition, cannot be relevant. This is a scientific fact and not debatable.

It means I’d take all of those teams full strength over aTm

I would take some. Not all. Possibly UNC. Yes, I know we beat them but Howell is a great QB. LSU. No by the same argument. Their QB is injured and likely to be gimpy at best when the game is played. I hope not though.
ND. I don’t think so. FL I don’t think so. I give our defense the nudge over theirs our offense is comparable. Oregon maybe. I don’t know a lot about them so we will say sure. Why not.

But this is a good take. So that would mean top ten you would see as accurate but not as high as 6.

I objectively see them at 8. With Oregon and UNC giving the nod to. I don’t think it’s too far from accurate.

aTm is a good team. Top ten is probably right. 6 is probably too high.

I’m curious to see what happens with your offense. Losing 4 O Linemen and an experienced QB is huge. Doesn’t matter how talented they are, they need to click.

If they are good, your team will be rock solid. If they don’t gel, could be a tough season.

Aggy is underrated. We are the best team in the country.

That was refreshing. Not because I want some validation but because I can now have confidence that not all LSU grads are void of reason.

I too agree with that. I think top ten. I can legitimately think of only a couple of teams that could be above them. So maybe 6-8.

I also agree that the offense is suspect. But as good as the Ags were defensively last year they have 6 super seniors plus the legitimate ones. They will be excellent defensively.

We have great depth at OL. But it will depend on how they work as a unit. I see that offensively them being number 3 in our league. But defensively 2 or maybe even 1.

So that would put them behind Bama and Georgia. And likely ranked around 5 if they win their games.

Frankly it’s going to come down to whether defense wins still or offense does.

As a "scientist", I can look at 2020 as an outlier due to the circumstances of COVID.

2019 was a spanking and 2018 was a shite show of officiating that should have resulted in a LSU victory.

These are facts that should not be overlooked if you truly are a scientist.

Yes. I realize that. Your team was superb that year. But since then we have recruited much better and you’ve had some coaching struggles. Not sure who’s driving the bus that Bo Pelini hire? Did y’all fire the guy that hired him? So the jury’s still out on the coaches at LSU. But talent wise y’all definitely have people to beat us.

A&M's rating is entirely based on last year (a fake season). Not worried about A&M at all. We'll make it 9 of our last 11.

Very good point. I will grant you that. Actually on paper even looking at recent data. As a scientist I would consider it a push.

Then I look at coaching stability. Your defense recovering from Bo is on the upswing. But ours will return 6 super seniors as well as current seniors to the same coach as before. Elko is head coach material in his own right. And respectfully we for you beat on the coaching front now. Talent wise. We are near equals. But I give our preparedness and our will to win the nod over LSU right now.

I realize this is a fuzzy feely evaluation. But there is no data that shouldn’t be thrown out. That’s all there is to go on.

Yes. We all know about the fake season. Hence the question in the OP. Maybe you should re read it.

A&M isn't overrated but we have never won anything. So I don't see A&M in same tier as Alabama, Ohio State and Clemson.
