True but he looked much worse in the first power 4 games
Padded lots of stats in cupcakes
Also, Aggie has been running the ball most of its 4th quarters because we’ve built large leads
Texas has been having to throw it downfield till the last tick of the clock
AND has had multiple overtime games
Lots of extra passes and td’s

Reed also hasn’t gotten to pad stats in overtime games

Reed - 69 rushes, 378 yards, 6 TD's Manning - 69, 203 yards, 6 TD's Overall A&M has over 1800 yards rushing to Texas' 1218. Reed's 378 accounts for ~20% of Aggy's rush offense Mannings 203 accounts for ~17% of Longhorns rush offense
This. The rushing attack is the real reason our offense is elite. We run north and south with Moss, Owens, and zone read options with Reed. We stretch the field east-west with jet sweeps from KC and Craver. Plus lots of fakes, options and variety of these types of plays. Plus if the pocket breaks down in the passing game Reed can run it.
Reed’s biggest flaw is his consistency in the passing game and consistency with the deep ball. The elite weapons and elite offensive line we have probably make him look better than he is. But he’s a strong leader and has shown improvement over this first full season, so there’s hope he can become an elite passer. If he fails next year, then we probably switch from limiting his running to opening it up and if he gets hurt we’ll have good options ready a year from now

How much are they paid?
Who is the highest paid player in college football?

Lol you left out Reeds ground game! What a fricking pathetic tool.

Most Ags don't hate Arch but they got very annoyed with how sips wanted to give him the Heisman before the year started. Then you decided he sucked. Then you think he is awesome. Now you are trying to act like it was all about A&M haters.

One is leading his team to 12-0, the other to 8-4 including OT wins at State and Kentucky.
I get that a longhorn has bias against their supposed non rival, but this one should be an easy choice even for their typical low football IQ.

Hasn’t Manning padded his stats against a few shitty teams? When it counted… he was abysmal vs Ohio State. Didnt Texas have like 70 yards at half? Terrible vs Florida as well.
He shite the bed a few times this year.., Sam Houston St notwithstanding.
Pretty certain if you look at things overall.. Reed has been pretty consistent. Good on shorter throws and not good on deep throws. He hasn’t had a shite the bed game. Manning has had 2.

My lord it’s been 2 OT games so at best he has had 4-5 extra pass attempts. He didn’t even throw the TD against MSU. OP point is made and you Aggies are too ignorant to accept Arch has gotten better to the point he is closer to Reed than he is to the bottom.

He has shown improvement
But OP’s point was lost because of bad data

He was a preseason Heisman finalist but I am loving that the litmus test for y’all at the end of the season is how he compares to A&M’s QB.
Reed has gotten his media attention based on his play leading an undefeated team.
Temu has gotten his media attention based on his name and talking shite to SHSU.
They are not the same.

Arch had nothing to do with the media and to a large extent nor does Texas. What does that matter? Surely you are smart enough to understand that the media, is driven by TV revenue, that is driven by advertisements, which is driven by consumer behavior and eye balls / ears. The more you have watching / listening the better is its for the above, and Texas (like it or not) has eye balls / ears.
Thus putting Arch #1 and Texas #1 does not have anything to do with merit but more to do with selling ad space.
Good for Reed and good for ATM, the point though is Arch is not nearly as bad as people think because you drilled in your brain expectations, just like Reed seems significantly better because you had average expectations
Either way they are pretty close in comparison in regards to data (blind test I give the nod to Reed though TBH).

What bad data? No showing Reeds rushing #s or the fact y'all play Samford which isnt included, or both?

Can’t imagine posting this without being embarrassed

If you want to believe Arch is on equal footing as Reed go ahead. I’d actually be more concerned facing your backup (he’s looked good in limited time).
But, if you’ve watched both QB1s play, which one would you rather have?
The comment about the media is valid. But also just weeks ago your fans were calling for Arch’s head. Over the summer that was not the attitude from your fanbase.
We have been mostly happy with Reed.

You say a lot of stupid shite on this board, but this has gotta be in the top 5% of dumbest shite you've posted (thats saying a lot).
Arch started against ULM and Miss State last year. He played against UTSA due to an injury to Ewers. Besides that he came in for 1 series against Georgia and a couple plays the rest of the year to rush the ball. Reed started 8 games last year. Arch started 2.

The same bad data that made yall think Arch was a heisman frontrunner.

I think they are both average at best. Reed isn’t able to throw the deep ball and his stats are padded by three exceptional receivers. He’s getting better but only average
Neither one should be in a Heisman conversation

I agree. I’m very pleased with his improvement, and his poise and leadership, especially for a redshirt sophomore, are fantastic, but if it wasn’t for his legs, he’d be pretty meh. Can he be elite? Maybe. He’s trending upward, and if he can become a deep-ball threat, he’ll be a QB opposing D’s will hate to face, but as of now, he’s towards the upper side of the middle of the pack.
