I wonder why. Did he do anything specific that I don’t know?

I had more fun at that game than any home game I've ever attended. The atmosphere was incredible even before Georgia came out in the black jerseys. After that, Auburn didn't stand a chance. It was a house party that Auburn tried to crash. What a good time.

I don't know of anyone that resents McConaughey. He's pretty universally well-liked.

Celebrity fans of a program being on the sidelines during a game is horse shite. It's true for these rhinestone-studded rappers in Athens as it is Mr. Just Keep Livin' and his gay-arse fringe jacket.

So with all the bitching that goes on about OU and Texas being in the conference

I don’t understand what all that’s about, either.

A lot of people resent McConaughey, but I like him. He's an excellent actor, and a good representative for Texas. A really good, and loyal fan.
I don't resent McConaughey, I just find it ironic that the horns are OK with him having such a high profile. He dresses like a clown (so does CDC, for that matter), then leaves early. That's their Minister of Culture. Alright, alright, alright.

We were loud as frick. One of the best games I have been too, tbh.

Texas and GA fan interactions was one of the best also.

They weren't douchebags visiting Athens.

OU fans have been told that the Tennessee and Alabama crowds for their recent games were two of the better ones

The OU/TN was pretty poor relative to some of the crowds in the last 2 years. Overall the TN atmosphere has been down this year. Piss poor defense probably a major factor. OU/TN in 2015 still magnitudes better than 2025.

I think it's because he does tend to be such a rabid fan and TV cameras always make a point of him being at the games. It's the Arch Manning effect. Everybody gets on his case because he is a Manning and the media has hyped him up a lot...and neither is anything he had anything to do with.

I wouldn't like the distractions that either brings, but if we were in Arch Manning's or Matthew McConaughey's place we would take advantage of it, too. All the attention can be distracting to the team, but it brings money in for the team and for both individuals.
