UT will get a rematch with UGA before Oregon does. Oregon was best by 46 by UGA at a neutral site.

I'm sure you will be in some discussions early on until Atlanta, but you would't make it imo. There would be too big of an outcry by the other conferences and rightly so.

The SEC has 4 decent teams this year and that's it. The rest are garbage and will probably lose their bowl matchups.

No way you are beating Georgia anyways. Their line play and secondary are both way too good for LSU to handle.

But you got destroyed on your home field by UT 40-13 less than a month ago.

Two big 10 teams would never get in over a one loss Tennessee team. Gtfo.

Oregon got destroyed by Ga

But all y'all said it was a mirage since the Oregon win was against a new HC and Bo's 1st game there and they would give UGA a battle now.

UGA
OSU/MICH winner
TCU
1 loss ORE/USC/UCLA round robin winner

Tenn at #5 but in if TCU has a loss or the PAC winner has 2 losses

JMO...

2 loss Auburn was in the discussion in 2017.

True. They were at #4 going into the SEC Championship. There were only 2 undefeated teams that week (Wisconsin and UCF).

Auburns losses:
@#1 Clemson (8 point loss)
@#16 LSU (4 point loss).

Ranked Wins against:
#5 Bama (12 point win
#6 UGA(23 point win)
#24 Miss State (39 point win)

ETA: I wonder if Auburn had beaten LSU and still lost the SEC Championship, would they have gotten in over Bama? Could have been interesting if Auburn and UGA played 3 times that year.

But you guys kept telling us that was the first game of the season and didn't really count. Oregon supposedly wasn't as good then as they are now.

If you believe that... then it kind of invalidates your argument now.

The reality is that if Oregon wins the Pac 12 with 1 loss, they're in. Even if that means bumping Tennessee out.

Same is true for all other 1-loss P5 champions.

Maybe, but you don't think USC has a shot if they beat Oregon with their only loss being 43-42 against Utah?

Not saying you are wrong.
Also, if the Michigan/Ohio State is close, I could see the loser making it over Tennessee. Both would have the same record. Neither UT or loser of Mich./OSU would play for their conference championship. The only loss would be a closer game than Tennessee/UGA.

It's an interesting scenario playing out. I suspect...like most years...that the next few weeks will clarify the picture.

Because we have elite wins over Bama and LSU plus the SEC gets the benefit of the doubt over big 10 now until proven otherwise.
