The University of Arkansas at Fayetteville is currently accepting applications for the position of Head Basketball Coach for Men's Basketball. This position reports directly to the Vice-Chancellor/Director of Athletics.
Responsibilities include: the management of all phases of a top Division I Men’s Basketball Program, which includes recruiting, coaching, administration, team travel, public relations, student athlete welfare, and adherence to NCAA, Southeastern Conference and University rules and regulations.
Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree and NCAA Division I coaching experience.
This is a full-time, 12-month, non-classified position; that will require a pre-employment criminal and financial background check. A criminal conviction or arrest pending adjudication alone shall not disqualify an applicant in the absence of a relationship to the requirements of the position. Background check information will be used in a confidential, non-discriminatory manner consistent with state and federal law.
Applicants should submit a cover letter, resume, and references to the address listed below. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.

JMO - I can't see a rational reason to leave Kansas for Arkansas
Kansas is the better basketball program and basketball is the unequivocal #1 sport there
Mike Anderson seems like an obvious possibility. Arkansas is a better basketball program than them and there is some history there b/c of Nolan
I'm not sure it always works for the student to take the mentor's job... but it's a logical assumption there may be interest
