Yes, that's the whole point. They aren't connected to the AD. The AD absolutely knows when a headhunter is involved, and who he is talking to, BECAUSE the AD gives them a list or a framework of what kind of coach he wants. Maybe through a BOT member, maybe through his babysitter....but he knows and is still involved.

10 years ago we could have hired Bill Self. Why is his name brought up now on Hogville?
I don't know. Seems like such a strange, far fetched candidate in 2011. Might as well be Phil Jackson or John Wooden.

I just asked this above. It must be a very, very vocal 2 or 3 people that actually think he's a candidate. 99.9% of Hog fans wouldn't even think to ask about Self.

Because "sources" say he is not happy at Kansas and is still interested in Arkansas.
This despite the fact many people also say the exact opposite and that he is extremely happy at Kansas.
There is no way in hell that Bill Self would leave Kansas for Arkansas. That's the cold hard truth.
If people are truly expecting that then they are going to be severly disappointed with who ever it is that we hire and that hire will already be behind the 8 ball.
