No, actually I don't think LSU should have awarded the young man a scholarship. But, just my opinion and I guess lucky for him, I don't make those decisions.

So, by your omission, you approve of a 14 year old being called a whore, slut and deserving of being pressured into oral sex on an adult? Because that's the logic that Lsu fans are laying on in the teabagging case.

I think what the guy did was a sick thing to do, but I don't believe that it deserves jail time or for him to be registered as a sex offender. I don't believe that there is any reason to ruin this guy for the rest of his life for a stupid mistake.

I suppose it depends on Downing. It's possible a little jail time might be what he needs.

Way to step around my question. I didn't ask if you thought LSU should award him a scholarship.

I asked you this: would you/did you defend the victim in that case (the victim in that case is a 14 year old girl) like you have in this one (the LSU fan that was teabagged)?

Should Harvard and UM fans be ashamed due to the Unabomber?

Did he yell "Old Harvard forevermore"?

Maybe, maybe not. IIRC he was wearing a referees shirt at a shoe store for employment, so that may not be much of a punishment. The shame and embarrassment of being outed as the perp, however, probably is (combined with paying fines and doing some community service).

As for the OP, I'm not sure attacking the DA was the best move at this point. DA has pretty solid evidence. I would be working with them to show how good of a person my client is and how out of character that event was. Show his remorse and willingness to own up to it and hope for a deal that keeps him out of jail and off the sex offender registry.

However, I pretty much agree with the sentiment expressed by the press release.

Yep. From his cabin.

I totally heard it over the sound of a tree falling.

Thought my answer was on track, but guess not. Would I defend the young girl in her situation? Sure, I would defend her. She was underage, so it really makes no difference if she was consenting or not. It is and was totally inappropriate for an adult male to have a minor (male or female) perform oral sex on him. Not sure if the answer is what you are seeking, but unsure how else to state my thoughts on the issue

His attorney states, "...so intoxicated that he would have had no recollection of the incident if it not for the video>"

Is he saying its perfectly fine to sexually harrass someone if the victim doesn't remember? So if the victim is slipped a "mickey" prior to getting harrassed or raped, then everything is AOK.

I'm one that believes the tea bagger has been embarrassed enough. I think he's learned his lesson. No need to criminal charges.

But that statement from his attorney is ridiculous.

What do you expect from the bammers when Harvey Updyke is their cover boy.

How demented and delusional.

Hope that "wonderful and loyal" bama fan gets the full sentence.

Read the fricking thread (or just the last few pages). Of course that isn't what he is saying. Let's stop setting up the strawmen and be reasonable.
