Naw, VerlanderBEAST was right. Worst mistake any athlete could ever make, IMO.

Jordan Lynch(NIU QB) could possibly be in consideration as well... statistically, he was awesome this year, but playing for NIU hurts him.

Tahj Boyd as well

Clowney still has another year to put up Suh like stats. Clowney definitely is quicker than Suh.

Clowney is a once in a generation player.

Clowney is so far above Suh at this point in their careers, it's really not even close.

Clowney will sweep the defensive awards next year and he might not win the Heisman, but he will damn sure deserve to.

There are 2 or 3 of these every year.

I agree with sorantable (hope I spelled your name right ) ... That term is way overused ... There are a couple 6'6" guys coming out every year now that can play the run and really rush the passer... Reggie White is once in a generation...Nkemdiche is another Clowney is another carlos Dunlap is another Julius Peppers

WOW

first, this isn't strictly about measurables. this is about on-field performance.

second, LOL the ole miss fan groups Nkemdiche into this. Surprise, surprise.

Comparing Clowney to Dunlap is disrespectful to Clowney. Clowney had 23.5 TFL and 13 sacks this year. Dunlap only had 19 sacks for his CAREER, which Clowney has already surpassed.

Clowney would have been a 1st round pick after his freshman year and would be the 1st overall pick in this years draft. Next year when he comes out, its a foregone conclusion that he will be the 1st overall.

He is an absolute beast and is truly a once in a generation player. Time will show the non-believers.

Suh, Andrew Luck, Adrian Peterson, Trent Richardson, PP7, Cam Newton, Von Miller, Julio Jones, Eric Berry, Matt Ryan, Darren McFadden, JaMarcus Russell, Reggie Bush, Vince Young, Mario Williams, Robert Gallery, David Carr.

All once-in-a-generation players.

Just naming a pass rusher coming out this year to help me prove a point... Clowney has played 2 years of college football... Calling him once in a generation is laughable.. We're just pointing out that you probably don't understand the definition of "once in a generation" ... How many Clowney fatheads do you have in your bedroom you obsessed loser ?

we obviously use this term differently. those are/were great players you listed, but I'm talking about a player being dominant from day one and no one being on his level.

and from that list, you listed a bunch of college star has beens. Clowney will be a force in the NFL for years.

nah, I think yall don't understand. A great star player does not equal once in a generation
