I know this is a drive-by, but our administration has to account for their fecklessness. Sure, let's just take it up the arse while our conference mates do the same thing.

Can’t wait for A&M to beat Notre Dame, swap rankings with them into the top 10, and then proceed to drop 5 games and go to the Lawnmowers.com bowl

If Georgia wins a national championship this year, they will have earned it for sure... Hell of a schedule

No offense, but monitoring the jobs your players claim to have is like basic institutional control.
Also, why the frick are they doing that in the NIL era?

OU plays 6 of top 15. I also think Auburn (who OU plays) is undervalued and better than most think.
What is the most ranked teams a title game team has played in one season?
Not saying it happens - but for example if OU made a run to tittle game via the 12th place playoff team, they would have played 10 (at the time) ranked teams.
6 reg season
4 playoff teams (I assume all playoff teams are ranked)
10 ranked opponents.
If that happened it would be the best run of all time I figure. And there are similar teams in SEC who will have difficult schedules.

So does this poll have any bearing on the CFP rankings?
If not, then it's meaningless.

We should've lawyered up like the rest of this conference would've(and has) done. No honor among thieves.

There is no supreme court ruling here, it's a classic infraction that has been in effect for decades. Most schools don't lawyer up either, that's basically just Tennessee. Most schools monitor, deal with it, and then self report to minimize punishments and demonstrate institutional control.
And to me, that's also what makes it so damn surprising to see a school like Kentucky get caught up in it. It's something they should have had a solution for a long arse time ago. And then combine that with it being in the NIL era, and it really makes no fricking sense at all. You could have literally done it legally and within the rules.

It only took them 20 years to get a decent one.

If the schedule played out just like this and the rankings ended in this order...#10 FSU would get a bye in the playoffs.
And some unranked G5 team would get the 12 spot.

Has bama ever played a regular season schedule as tough as what is currently ranked?

Huh? Alabama usually plays one of the toughest schedules in college football. Georgia is the one that plays in the east and magically avoided west teams over the years.
I'm not sure our SEC schedule is all that more difficult yet. It could end up being extremely difficult, but where we got difficult teams, we also got some easy teams like Vandy and South Carolina that we don't normally get. You know, one of the many easy wins Georgia was playing every year.
Missouri is a question mark. Currently ranked, but also the kind of team that can be great one year, not so great the next year.
Oklahoma is another question mark. Historically good, but still been rebuilding. Currently ranked, but their name will get them some leeway in that area. Could be good, could be not so good.
Tennessee is ranked 15th, but we already played them every year. LSU is ranked 12th, but we already played them every year. Auburn isn't ranked, but if they end up ranked we already played them every year.
Don't have to play Ole Miss, or A&M as we normally would.
So the only addition is Georgia really, who hasn't won a regular season game against Alabama since a 3 point win in 2007 when Alabama went 7-6.
This schedule isn't even really more difficult than normal unless some SEC opponents climb the ranks. It would have been much more difficult if we were playing in the west and adding Georgia from the east as well.

dunno.
We got some really good transfers, a few whom I think would have started, or competed for a starting spot last year.
I will say they do have to preform, but I like the defense.
