BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Alabama and LSU each placed a league-leading 13 representatives on the 2016 Preseason Coaches All-Southeastern Conference Football Team, the SEC announced Thursday.
This marked the 14th consecutive year of the SEC Coaches Preseason All-SEC Team.
All 14 SEC schools were represented on the All-SEC team, including eight schools with six or more selections. Nine SEC schools had at least one First-Team All-SEC selection, including a conference-best seven from Alabama.
Coaches were not permitted to vote for their own players.
The SEC begins its 2016 season Thursday, September 1 with a pair of games. Tennessee plays host to Appalachian State at 7:30 p.m. ET on the SEC Network, while South Carolina travels to Vanderbilt for an 8 p.m. ET kickoff on ESPN.

Tennessee and that first team defense though. Damn it's been a long time since we had players selected at every level and special teams like that.

Guice is actually 3rd team all-purpose (still very impressive), but don't let facts get in the way.
I can almost guarantee Bama will have an RB on one of the 1st three teams. It's just tough to know which guy it's going to be at this point.

So Christian Kirk is in the First Team ALL SEC more than 11 other TEAMS? (Alabama and LSU have more)

I mean, Christian Kirk is a heck of a player, but 3 times on the All-SEC 1st team does seem a little bit unnecessary

LSU could be 2011 good if the defensive transition goes well.
