You send the wrong message without immediate punishment for DWI.
Athletes at all universities already probably get too much preferential treatment. You would be reinforcing all the wrong things letting him play.

Maybe, but the facts do need to come in. We had a basketball player pulled over earlier this year and charged with DWI. He was adamant that he wasn't drunk. Took the blood test. Results came in at 0.0 - if we had demanded that he be suspended until all the results came in, he would have been screwed.
Trocha is a first time offender. I tend to think he should miss a game or two, but I don't know all the facts.

Facts don't matter here. If Trocha plays even for a minute and has minimal stats (per usual) LSU will cry foul and say that's why they lost. The narrative has already been prepared.
