3 things will happen for which they’ll know this is a dream they’ll never wake up from:
1. They’ll find they no longer get calls. This will cause their and OU’s fans to begin sounding like all other fans. (IE what has happened to them in the B12 this past season).
2. They will get pantsed by at least 2 middle class SEC teams. Texas has lost many times to B12 middle class, but they’ve rarely been destroyed by them. That’s what can happen in the SEC.
3. They’ll begin to brag about barely losing to Alabama, Georgia and whatever other team rises back to the top (LSU, Auburn, Florida?). Moral victories will lift spirits.
All of this will happen in year 1.
