If everyone can stay healthy, I think our QB/WRs/OL combination will allow our passing game to take a big step forward.

Predicting we’ll be in the top 3 in the conference in passing/receiving stats.

Ty Simpson will be a top 5 SEC Quarterback this season. Shouldn’t be that big of a surprise because he’s surrounded with talent, he’s a former 5 star, and he’s working with a proven playcaller. But the fact that he sat behind Milroe last year has led many to believe that he sucks.

If we could predict it, then it's not a surprise.

Predict the biggest surprise on on your team this fall.

Graceson Littleton is a true freshman and might win the starting job at CB or STAR. This is a huge surprise, but he is talked about all the time, so perhaps it wouldn't be a surprise at this point.

Therefore..

Darkhorse 1: Christian Clark RB (redshirt freshman - injured in 2024) - another guy that is talked about a lot.. but how much he plays will depend on the health of Baxter. Sounds like Clark might win the 3rd Down Back role as well.

Darkhorse 2: James Simon RB (true freshman) - Idk how many carries he will get in a crowded backfield, but I really like his tape and vision. I heard some good things about him in the Spring as well.

Darkhorse 3: Parker Livingstone WR (white redshirt freshman) - yes he is white, kinda reminds me of Ed McCaffrey. Seriously. Taller WR 6'3 and he looks fast and runs really good routes. He is in the Top 4 WR so he will play.. tbd how it goes from there based on production.

Darkhorse 4: Zina Umeozulu Edge (redshirt freshman) - this room is crowded, so Idk how much PT he will get, but I hear his name mentioned quite a bit for a guy down the depth chart.

Darkhorse 5: Jack Bouwmeester - Punter - the argument can be made that we might have beat Georgia last year in the SEC CG if we had a better punter.. Georgia outkicked us at about 10 yards per punt.. and that was a field position game. I suppose a better field goal kicker appllies as well. Bottom line, our defense should be really good, so pinning the other team deeper in their own territory will help. We played against a lot of short fields last year.
