Too much talent.

A.J. McCarron

Talent is there, is gonna blow them away in the interview portion, someone is gonna take a chance on him. I don't know how good he can be in the league though, his whole career comes down to who drafts him, and quite frankly I think he's gonna go too high for his own good.

Aaron Murray

Good arm, can move around in the pocket a bit. He's done well in big games this year, but it'll probably still be an area of concern for SOME GMs.

quote:

Zach Mettenberger

Biggest arm, but a statue in the pocket and his past will haunt him the most. Maybe he has changed, but he'll need to really prove it. If he does prove it, he could be first or second.

Na Patton, it'll be great. They'll draft AJ and then in 2016 they'll trade him to a contender.

What? Stop being a homer. AJ can make every single nfl throw and he is more accurate than Mett and he has better footwork and mobility in the pocket. AJ is so underrated by sec fans. Dude is a great qb.

FWIW, Murray was given a 3rd round projection by the league and that played a part in him deciding to come back to school. QB class coming out in this draft is even stronger, Murray could fall pretty far.

Johnny is a great player, but I don't know how long he'd last taking hits from the big timers on his scrambles.

McCarron is who I'd take if Mett was already gone and I had to take an SEC qb.

Mett would be my #1 choice.

People keep saying Mett to the Cardinals. Not knowing where there 1st and 2nd round picks are, they need a left tackle.

Only one with a prayer to go before JFF is Mett because of his physical attributes and that's very unlikely to happen, anybody who thinks Murray or McCarron go before Manziel is clueless

I don't know why I keep seeing Mett as a bronco....backup for a couple of years and then have a chance. I think his stock is rising so it's more likely that a team like the Vikings, Cards, or Browns scoop him. Given the LSU connections I think the Cards are the most likely candidates to go a little out of their way to get him early on. Mett is a top 2 round qb. I really see him as a top 5 qb in this draft.

I think Bridgewater will go to Jags, but I can see them reaching for manziel. I don't see many other teams interested early on in the draft, but you would have to consider the eagles would want a shot at him considering his dual threat ability. Not sure they would want to give up as high of a pick as they may have to to get him. Manziel is a firecracker and could easily be the most successful or biggest flop out of this bunch. I really feel a Tyrann Mathieu esque feeling here......I think ultimately his athleticism and ability do not let him escape the 3rd round. Teams will have him all over their draft board from top 3 qb to not in the top 10. It will just depend. I think a darkhorse here is the Titans.

McCaron could be a great fit for the cards, but it wouldn't surprise me if a risk on a guy like Carr may be more likely for the cards to take. McCaron is just a good qb and I think high draft picks are more about potential and risk. It may work out best for him that way. I could see on a team like the Texans bringing in more competition. I see McCaron as a guy who is just on the bubble of being a top 3 round pick, but that means it's easy for him to end up in the 5th or 6th as well. What he has done is undeniably impressive, but that may not matter. From a pure athleticism and potential standpoint, he's behind the other 3.

Murray will be highly regarded in the draft and I do think a team will take him to compete early on for a starting spot. I think the Vikings situation fits him the best. It's the most similar style to Georgia's offense and there are some young pieces in place in the passing game. 1st or 2nd round. I think a lot of teams will have him and mett as 1 and 2 qbs out of the SEC.

Bump...

Seems like Mett continues to move up this list. I'm interested in hearing how other fans view his status as he continues to put up impressive numbers...week after week.
