He is seriously thinking about returning?
The word is his NIL eligibility - now that the student visa issue is resolved, will be more than his second round expected draft position.
He can come back - work on jumper. Think - Patrick Patterson at UK...came back - got a "J" - still making cheddar in the league.

Oscar loves Kentucky. If they can get the NIL ordeal worked out, they act like he’ll come back. As of now, students here on a student visa aren’t allowed to work to make money supposedly, which is a lunacy in itself
Oscar would make more at Kentucky next year then an NBA non-guaranteed 2-way deal

Let’s all keep putting Auburn in the middle of the pack.
Eventually, people will learn.

2018 : 13-5 (SEC Champs)
2019 : 11-7 (Tied for 4th)
2020 : 12-6 (Tied for 2nd)
2021 : 7-11 (Tied for 10th)
2022 : 15-3 (SEC Champs)
It's not like Auburn is immune to seasons where they aren't in the top 2-3. And if you work under the assumption that they lose Kessler and Jabari Smith and the returning core is:
- Wendell Green Jr
- KD Johnson
- Dylan Cardwell
- Jaylin Williams
- Chris Moore
Is it really insane to say that they finish #5-6 in the SEC and are like a #6-7 NCAAT seed or something? I don't think there is going to be a Walker Kessler in the portal to pick up and they aren't going to a sign a guy like Jabari in this class. Now, Kessler might come back and they might sign both the prior LSU kids plus a solid portal pickup and that roster looks a lot more like a team with a nice ceiling than the current makeup.

Almost everyone on this board last year said things along the lines of "you can probably throw the top 6 in a bucket and randomly pick them out and it wouldnt surprise us" regarding Alabama, Auburn, Kentucky, Tennessee, Arkansas and LSU.
And those are the 6 that ended up being the Top 6 teams in the league standings and the NCAA Tournament teams.
And honestly, at different points in the year you could have argued that all of them (well 5 of them at least) were the best team in the league.
- Alabama through December
- Auburn December and January
- Kentucky/Tennessee/Arkansas February and March

Let's also look back at last years prediction. Doing this before the portal makes no sense and does not include Coaching Ability.
Of course and we all know that Auburn will defy expectations. If I'm an Auburn fan, I hope that Auburn is picked low, because that's when they have their best seasons.

I think Tennessee will probably be the best team in the league from beginning to end due to continuity. 4 starters and 8 of the top 10 back off a team that was 7th in Torvik and 10th at KenPom. If they don’t finish in the top 2-3 in the league I will be very surprised. But probably not going to be the most dangerous team in March based on history.
We’ll see how they handle the little roster turnover they will have but seems like they feel pretty quietly confident about Phillips. Do they push Powell out to make room for another PG or stand pat beyond that?
Zeigler/Edwards
Vescovi/Powell
James/Phillips
Nkamhoua/Huntley Hatfield
Aidoo/Plavsic
Or
Portal PG/Zeigler
Vescovi/Mashack
James/Phillips

Didn't Vescovi declare for the draft?
You don't think he'll get a good enough grade and will return?

I can't figure out what Vescovi's ceiling is. He's a nice catch and shoot guy, defends well, plays the game well overall.........but I wonder if he's big enough to be a pure 2 guard in the NBA. The times he had to run the point the last few years were pretty ugly, so I'm not sure he can do that at the NBA level.
VF30, what are your thoughts on him as a professional?

Tennessee is expecting Vescovi and James to return. Just going through the process for feedback. Neither would be drafted.

He’s improved a ton defensively and obviously is a very very good catch and shoot guy. Great feel for the game and super high basketball IQ. Rarely turns it over, has probably the best stamina I’ve ever seen from a college player (constantly moving and cutting and often tires his defender out). Just too limited athletically at his size to play in that league. He really has no way to create offense for himself at all. Uses shot fakes and physicality to create space for himself sometimes at the college level but doesn’t have any kind of burst to the rim. Even when he gets in the open floor he has trouble finishing. Can’t get above the rim at all. I would think he’ll probably play at a really high level in Europe for 15+ years.

That was kind of my general thought, but obviously it's easy to drift in that direction when analyzing an average height South American guy who doesn't have great leaping ability.
Tennessee's roster should be incredibly deep next year.

I think we still could see up to 2 more guys leave (in addition to Chandler).
They're definitely pushing for another guard between LSU's Murray, Skyy Clark, and the NC State transfer. And obviously hard after Phillips. A portal big man will depend on if BHH leaves.

Adam Miller, LSU's best offensive weapon this season, is in the portal
