Cruddy MS Paint pictures should happen more. I need to start doing them for all Auburn opponents

The more janky it looks, the better

Arkansas has played some of the most potent offenses in the nation so far this season. #6 SOS overall and sits at 5-2.
They've also played 6 games against teams ranked #84 or below in total defense, which might explain why they think their offense is so potent.

#5 Bama
#84 TCU
#95 LA Tech
#98 TAMU
#104 Ole Miss
#124 Texas State
#100(FCS) Alcorn State

Well, this got a little chippy.

I should clarify the prediction. We take the individual voters predictions and average all those projected scores to develop the overall committee prediction. This prediction was the closest one we've seen.

No worries, it was a pretty fair analysis IMHO.

Still think we win.

I don't vote or predict so that I can stay unbiased. But... My personal opinion on this one? Auburn is at home, and Arkansas will be a little flat after last week's emotional win. Auburn takes this one in a close game.

Good analyis. Hogs will play well and win this one. Hogs will also finish the season very strong.

The SEC has two top 10 defenses and Auburn isn't one of them.

Florida and Alabama are in fact, top 10 defenses.

SEC Total Defense Ranking

Scoring defense is what matters. Auburn is in fact #10 in the nation in scoring defense.

I don't get why you are downvoted so much. Or more to point, downvoted at all. You don't engage in personal attacks. You just report, and you tend to keep it light.

Total defense is much more solid of a metric than scoring defense. Scoring defense will revert to the mean over the course of a season while total defense is more of a true measurement

Defensive efficiency is a much more solid metric but Arkansas fans don't like it since their team sucks in those rankings

The metric that awards defenses for the opponents missed field goals isn't a true metric. It's got nothing to do with what any further us like. Not one razorback fan has said our defense is superior this entire week.

After the fear being plastered all over this site this week, it's going to be really fun watching the game tonight. Auburn fans almost have themselves convinced

All these stats are interesting to look at but not really worth arguing over. I don't think anyone really knows what will happen in this game, just about anything can. That makes it exciting in my opinion. Add in a bit of personal animosity between the coaches and these are the kinds of Saturdays that make me love the SEC.

Scoring defense is more of a team metric... ypp is probably the best way to compare two teams' defenses. YPG can be misleading bc of time of TOP/turnovers/etc.

Auburn as the 30th ranked defense in the country, not top 10.

Auburn also does not have the leagues #2 rushing offense.

You're right, they might be even better.
