I think that's it for starters although Travis McCall wasn't a starter, depended on packages

You missed an Offensive lineman.

I think you would be hard pressed to prove that Bobby Greenwood and Travis McCall are "significant" losses.

I see us being much improved across the defensive front, and just a different style of TE next year (Smelly).

I think we might be suprised at how much of offense evolves with a different QB, and different playmakers at WR and TE next year.
McElwain didn't come in as a Double TE package coordinator.

That being said our O'line is a huge question mark along with the QB position in general. It's good to know we should be solid and only improved all across the defensive side of things (Improved at LB, Secondary, and D-line).

bobby greenwood had more tackles for loss this year than most on the defensive side of the ball

How in the hell could you not say Travis McCall was a huge loss? He was a beast in blocking mode and we ran behind him 90% of the time when he was in the game. I can agree with you on Greenwood but Travis McCall is a very significant loss

I agree. McCall was a great blocker. Greenwood is a significant loss however I do believe we have guys with more pure talent that will be filling his place. His loss is significant though.

If you look at the definitions for significant:

1. Having or expressing a meaning; meaningful.
3. Having or likely to have a major effect; important: a significant change in the tax laws.

By definition one the loss of Greenwood would be meaningful as he was a starter.

If you look at definition 3, then you might say it won't be significant because Greenwood wasn't a big impact player.

Out of all of the players we're losing, he is one of the least concerning.

QB-Stafford
RB-Moreno
WR-MoMass
LB-Ellerbe

No other significant losses. Significant additions include:

-4 of top 9 LBs back from season ending injury.
-Best and second best OTs back from season ending injury
-Best Defensive player, DT Jeff Owens, back from season ending injury.

QB - Smelley (hey SC fans may be happy but it is significant in a positive way)
WR - Kenny Mckinnley
TE - Jared Cook
RB - Mike Davis (once a good RB.. has done more harm than help for us lately)
CB - Captain Munnerlyn
S - Emanuel Cook
LB - Jasper Brinkley
DL - Jordin Lindsey
K - Ryan Succop

Bama also lost their starting right guard Marlon Davis. He started every game this year. I would think that's pretty significant.

Travis McCall was routinely praised by Saban as being one of the best blockers on the team. His loss is significant.
