Serious question. Not trolling.

What it the reason the outfield section is so far from the fence.

I have always wondered why

On the student side there is a road in between fence and stands.

There are a fair amount of maroon mixed in. Most of it is down the lines.

So it wasn’t a real question and you were trolling.

Not at all. It looks the area behind the right center field fence has a big gap that isn't the bullpen.

I was wondering what it was for

There is a road there and it is obviously too low to see over. The seating is on higher elevation.

I didn't realize that. I have never been there. Just going off pics like the first one in the OP.

Seems like a road and elevation could easily be corrected. What's the road used for?

No, cocksmoke-these are bullpens. Do you know what they’re for and why they’re there?

What your picture of is the right field. There is a path between the right field stands and the right field wall. It is used so people and inanimate objects may move freely in that area without hinderance.

Why? Because the baseball gods said let there be road. And so it was. And it was good.

Also, because historically, there was nothing out there except a hill that no one sat on because the hill behind left field was more accessible. As attendance grew over the past several years, they needed a place to put more people and stands, so they put them out there, and the road has stayed.
