No not really. They have a brand to protect and that brand is the QB camp. Of course they will spin it. They don't want parents of kids thinking they are sending them to a school of drunk counselors. Get a clue.

Most of us couldn't care less as long as he keeps winning

Did you find that one on the Tiger Rant?

gnarl - Im not mad at all. Dude parties. Thats what he does. Most players I knew partied. According to Mannings its no big deal. Since its their camp and not the rants, Im going with the Mannings.
If any spin was involved it likely would have to do more with keeping a story from last night out of the papers the papers. Maybe more than 1 guy were running hot cat. JFF may have gotten choir boy a few co-eds who let him see her boobies and he liked um. Maybe some other guys were around coeds. You gotta think outside the box. Mannings probably don't want the whole story coming out - that they were all wasted. Who knows. All we know is what we knew before - JFF parties.

You see based on some of your posting in here I now can't believe this, other than the winning part. You do care and it's evident, but it is also okay. You should care, and you do.

If he was indeed asked to leave, then the Mannings obviously were not fine with everything he did.
Dude parties, just though he would show a little more respect when surrounded by NFL legends at his position.

Actually had to use google

Well yea I care. Its about our player. But its not like it pisses me off or anything like that. My earlier posts in this thread where about the rant as a whole. They take one side and no matter what, the other side is 100% wrong. Whether this is true or not doesnt effect me as long as he keeps winning

But you have to admit its a little different when a no name player parties and when the most recent Heisman winner parties...different scope of perspective in the media.
Also you have to realize while he is a counselor at THEIR camp he is representing the Mannings as well...of course they are going to spin it to save face

Again, don't really care but it does really look like the media got caught with their pants down this time.

Consequently, we agreed that it was in everyone's best interest for him to go home a day early."

Come on. Anybody who believes the spin in that article is gullible as frick. Of course that's what the Manning camp is gonna say. They're too classy to throw him under the bus and not to mention he holds the award with their last name on it. Bad mouthing him in turn bad mouths themselves. It's classic damage control. The place to get the real story is people who are close to the situation without an official voice. And all of them are saying he was partying. Does anybody actually believe he WASN'T?

I hear you, but we all really do care about our programs, otherwise none of us would respond...

WDE - I agree. Completely. But the story would be Mannings and AJ were drinking together last night. Its like when you wake up in Vegas. Some feel better than others but you get up and handle your shite and your buddys that doesn't feel as well. Because ability to hold your liquor wouldn't be the story. It would be JFF doesn't show because was out partying with A, B, C and D.
If they are spinning its to save their own arse. Archie would sell out JFF. Mannings don't need him for that camp.
But the bottom line its just ballplayers hanging out and being ballplayers.
and I really can't figure why yall would think I was mad. I would just say I was mad. I don't give a rip. Kids leave early. I care about Ws.
If anyone is mad its the posters on this thread for making this a story and the Bam. Sorry. No story. I kinda feel bad for yall.

Eli is probably like "wtf Peyton??!?"

That was my first reaction. They should probably do another ESPN commercial with that as the subject.
