Do we think we'll see many freshmen or backups hit the portal after the championship game from both Georgia and Alabama? With as much movement from everywhere else one would only assume we see some

With respect Pastor, I believe it will be at least 5 move along.

Bama insiders are saying we will have a few. Agiye Hall might be the headliner.

There will be some. Pierce Quick (to GT) and Jackson Bratton (to UAB) have already.

Bratton is from Muscle Shoals by the way (for the Muscle Shoals thread).

UGA expecting some portal attrition for sure... I'd say draft declarations and/or utilization coupled with some retention efforts over the past few weeks may have an impact, but we'll have to see. Have seen estimates of as many as 7-9, with some that we won't be thrilled about.

We will have some for sure. Mostly 2nd string and situational guys but wouldn’t be surprised if someone like Darnell Washington leaves too with Bowers on roster and Oscar Delp coming in. But what we lose to the portal we will replenish in the portal. Just the way this thing works now

I don't count the guys leaving for the NFL. Just those leaving for other teams.

I don't think portal jumping will be a huge concern for any program moving in the right direction.

A starter is not going to jump if he has a secure job at a program with at least an outside chance at a playoff spot.

They only exception to the rule appears to be Bo Nix, which indicates to me that something else is going on at Auburn. Maybe I am missing something there, but it is inexplicable.

What about the backup to the starter? Your starter gets hurt and your good backup left for a chance elsewhere. Hell you will be one deep on each side of the ball.

Ole Miss and Auburn are definitely tampering with young talent on both rosters.

It'll be more from being processed, than wanting out.

With bama's small small SR class it will be more than 2-3 players hitting the portal. Have to make room for the 32 new guys.

I am as well... what I'm saying is NFL departures may make room for guys to stick around that might have transferred otherwise.

I wish this was correct, but just keep an eye on UGA exits in the portal... I would imagine at least 1-2 "starters" (or starter share of snaps at least) skill players are gone. Hopefully it's the wakeup Kirby needs to take the restrictor plates off of the offense in the future though.

We are expecting several. One or two pretty good ones, too.

You guys are in a unique position in that you win titles often. Kids will tend to stick with a team if they think they can/will win a title and still play at least one year. More willing to wait their turn.

We have to win a title before we can get that benefit of the doubt.
