XXXXXX was hired on March 23, 2010 to become the quarterbacks coach at his alma mater, Highlands High School, in XXXXXXXXXXX.[22] After the 2011 UIFL season, XXXXXXX was named Commissioner of the UIFL.[1]

Yes you would know him from his playing career. If another couple of people guess (incorrectly), I will post a hint.
Actually, I will add that he played from 2000-2003 and was second team All SEC.

I was hoping for maybe a position or something, but with what you've already given it would give too much away to answer that.

LOL...look at what he was hired to do at his high school. That should tell you what position he is most knowledgeable of. C'mon Dawg...use your context clues. You will not only know his name, but you will remember him well.
