Mississippi State once watched the nuts get cut off a bull before a game.

While they both have people on the sideline in coonskin caps...September 1st will be the first time Tennessee and West Virginia have ever met in football.

We're 7-4-1 against the Canes. We've never played them at home, though.

That’s actually surprising given the regional/cultural similarities

It is incorrectly said that UGA stole the bulldog mascot from Yale, but in fact the original mascot of Georgia was "The Red And Black". In the early 20th century, a newspaper reporter from Atlanta referred to the team as bulldogs, and the name stuck. The bulldog mascot was made official.
Additionally, the University of Georgia was the first state-chartered university in the country.
It was built upon land designated for the purpose by John Milledge on the Oconee River, the dividing line between the state of Georgia and the Creek Indians. It was a true frontier town.

One of the "fight songs" for LSU is "Eye of the Tiger" from Rocky 3, which is kind of odd because the composer of the original Rocky theme (Gonna Fly Now) is an LSU graduate.

one of our players pooped his pants in a game which ultimately led to him becoming the starting quarterback for America's team, the Dallas Cowboys.

Mizzou has been trying to fit in with the SEC for longer than you might imagine: at least into the 1960s, the Mizzou band played Dixie after the team scored a touchdown.

MSU won 1 game in 2 seasons in 1967 and 1968. The lone win was over a top 10 Texas Tech team in 1967 in Lubbock. They had no wins in 1968 but had ties against #15 Texas Tech and Ole Miss.
