Additionally, the University of Georgia was the first state-chartered university in the country.

It was built upon land designated for the purpose by John Milledge on the Oconee River, the dividing line between the state of Georgia and the Creek Indians. It was a true frontier town.

while that may be true, the University of Tennessee held actual classes before Georgia ever did. The University of Georgia was officially chartered in 1784 but didn't have actual students until 1801. The University of Tennessee (originally called Blount College) was founded and was operating as a college in 1794.

Bear Bryant once called the Auburn coaches office at 6am sharp, only for a secretary to inform him the coaches had not arrived for the day yet. Bryant growled, "What the hell's the matter with y'all? Don't y'all take your football seriously?" and slammed the phone down

In 1961 before the Carolina-Clemson game, members of the Carolina chapter of Sigma Nu borrowed uniforms from Orangeburg High School and made their way on to the field at Williams-Brice to imitate the Clemson team during warm-ups, complete with pretending to milk cows, punting backwards over their heads, bumbling through plays and more. It took a few minutes for the Clemson crowd to catch on, but once they did, they were not happy

California is the only team from the PAC-12 that Ole Miss has played.

LSU wears their white jerseys way too much. I know that they look good, but it is as if they hate the purple jerseys. I say redesign the purple jerseys, get alternative purple helmets and pants.

Ole Miss had never played a single game vs. an opponent from the PAC-12 until last year @Cal. Not one game, against any Pac-12 team, ever.

Beat me to it. I found it insane that we have only played one game against the pac 12 in our entire history.

While UGA did ask permission from Green Bay to use a "G" on the helmet, the Packers have since changed theirs to look like ours.

Zero championships, ouch. States trophy case is lying dormant with no hope in sight. That really sucks. There's one thing you have to give state fans credit for, they're not bandwagonners thathe only pull for their team because they win championships. True loyalty as a fan base.

Our sideline is approximately 300lbs lighter than it was last season.

I believe LSU was the first team to ask the NCAA if they could wear white for home games. As long as the opponent agreed. I could be wrong about that.

Not in football, but can't say in anything, ever.

State is the current National Champion in disc golf. LINK

The best thing to come from this was the Wreck Tech parade. Co-Eds in pajamas that were, at times, interesting.

Orange Bowl & SEC Championship trophies lonely.

SEC Title often overlooked, bc AlaBama claims a NC.

State Beat AlaBama that year, in Tuscaloosa.
