While Australian rules football would make a cool spring sport I just don't see it happening.

Rugby would probably never meet critical mass.

Cricket or Croquet would be cool if the schools could support teams.

Croquet could flourish at the frat daddy schools in the SEC

Vanderbilt would have the talent for cricket

If I was the SEC commissioner tho, this would be the next SEC men's sport

USPA used to be located in Lexington, KY, not sure if it still is.

It would be awesome to be able to wrestle in the SEC instead of the MAC. We have won 5 straight MAC championships but it just isn't the same when it is the MAC.

Also wrestling leads to Olympic wrestlers that you get to root for every so often that attended your university. Good exposure for your university not just in the states but the world.

It has also produced multiple MMA fighters that represent your university on a different stage. Makes MMA a lot more enjoyable. Mizzou had two former wrestlers in title fights on the same night. Made it very fun to watch. Wrestling has the potential to present your university to people across the world that may have never heard of it.
And it's cool to see that guy from your university win a medal on the world stage.

But soccer makes the most sense.

Can you imagine trying to get some of those guys qualified for academia!

Compliance nightmare.

I'm trying really hard to imagine Deontay Wilder sitting in a Physics class.

No it’s not. That’s my point. Club does not equal varsity
