Seriously. If you can't walk from Red Roof Inn to Razorback Stadium, you need to lose some weight or something.

It's not about being able to do it, it's just a long arse way to walk. But if that's the only option the OP has it's not terrible. You'll get to see lots of fast food joints, so that's cool I guess.

MLK Blvd has pretty much every single chain restaurant imaginable.

Looks like we got a youngster here. Is this your first year in Fayetteville?

Looks like we have an old time Arkansawyer who doesn't respect and appreciate the contributions Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. made to this country. Tell me old man exactly why you continue to call it 6th street?

Yep. Shame on me for calling roads what they have been named for years and years before you were even born. If we didn't rename that road MLK, then his contributions will be forgotten.

In 1930 it was called Wall Street, but no one calls it that now. Seems like people mostly switched over to the new name rather than hold on to their old, archaic ways.

Be prepared to stay in the burbs (Springdale, Rogers, etc.). You won't find anything in town on a game weekend unless you totally luck out.

I just went to the Marriott site and found 3 Marriott hotel properties in Fayetteville with availablity for the nights of the 22nd and 23rd.

On priceline there are 6 more hotels available in Fayetteville for those same nights.

Btw, Fayetteville is a very beautiful college town. One of my favorites. I'm glad the game moved up there.

Judging by a couple posts in this thread, LSU fans need to take notice to something....when a hotel says they're 5 minutes from campus, that is not an easy walk. They are referring to a car ride.

The terrain here is much different than Baton Rouge. Its hilly as hell. Even on campus you get a hell of a workout walking from one side to the other. Heck, you can get a good worhout on gameday unless you park and tailgate in the Pit.

I just want Tiger fans who have never been here before to realize, this isn't a huge city setting with normal city blocks, etc. One city block here may equal 45 minutes on an elliptical machine.

Just food for thought and a word of advice from a local.

Well, because almost none of us were alive in 1930, it would make sense that the locals of this area call the street what it's been named the last 7 or 8 decades.

Staying at the red roof though isn't hilly to a lot of the tailgating areas though.

For anyone else on here, do not stay anywhere on College. Those are some extreme shite hole places.
