Is the big poster of Dan Mullen still on the side of yalls stadium
When those hurricance winds came through while we were walking around the stadium it ripped the huge Boobie Dixon banner from like 6 of its mounts. If it came down we were putting it in the car.

Stadium won't be completed till August of '14. All they have to have in order this season is the very bottom of the endzone for student seating which is already in place now. We will be looking at construction stuff all season

Wow! I knew you guys were doing some construction, but I didn't know it was going to be a major renovation/overhaul like this.

It's going to look like a whole new stadium.

That's going to look very nice. I've seen some renderings. I thought maybe it probably wasn't going to come close to the renderings, but it looks like it might.

This will catapult MSU up the rankings in the SEC. Will be one of the nicer stadiums in the SEC.

Here is final rendering of what it will look like. I felt the same way. I didn't know if they could pull it off but you are definitly starting to see a lot of the pieces coming together.

Seating Capacity for Phase I is 61,500. Or if we did like Tennessee and remove 1 inch from each seat it can be 80,000.

Oh hell yes, considering the waiting lists for season tickets and overselling capacity for every game for the last 3 years. Statisitcally speaking, Davis Wade has been the most over stuffed stadium in the SEC the last 2 seasons
quote:

Sorted by percent of capacity, though – an actual statistic tracked by the NCAA – MSU fans made Davis-Wade the most over-stuffed stadium in the league last year, exceeding official capacity in every home game, even the ones against Louisiana Tech and Tennessee-Martin. Season tickets for 2012 have sold out for the third year in a row.

I will be making my first trip to Starkvegas in 2015. I have been to every SEC west school except for MSU. I was waiting until yall finished your expansion. Looks good.

There was actually an Alabama fan that started a thread two summers ago about having to go to Starkville for some reason and he was blown away by State. Said all he had ever heard was the negative bullshite on here from people who have never actually been to Starkville and though he never participated in it thought that it had to be true.

I'm thinking that the athletic department should design the end zone for future expansion for an upper deck. With the sole objective to place 90% of Ole Mss fans up there.

I think they'll do fine with attendance simply based on who they will have consistently coming in to play them. Even if State isn't a top team, they are going to have LSU, Bama, Auburn, A&M and a good East team coming in every two years. Those teams will sell a lot of tickets and obviously get the State fans there. Not to mention the Egg bowl obviously being in Starkville in odd numbered years.

New construction looks good!

For the State fans, any idea of when this phase of expansion would come to fruition?

Wow, nice expansion project. I can't wait to see it when we play y'all in Starkville. Commonwealth Stadium is being renovated but there won't be any expansion of seating. I hope it looks half as good as DWS will. Awesome.

Not to mention that our alumni base is growing rapidly. Our entire school the past 7 years has experienced enormous growth.

They are steady building new buildings and a ton of new dorms on campus so the fan base will continue to grow, along with the amount of money being brought into the program.

Based on projected growth of the University, they put the approx. date at 2025 I think

Not a flame, but this has definitely been the case for all of the SEC schools.
