Looks good!
They are all wearing their #5 ND shirts right now and crying about a freshman winning the Heisman.

I live in Austin and they are literally experts on all things A&M rattling off stats and trying to twist them. Seems like they are all trying to use our success to argue that it means the SEC is inferior to the Big 12, thus A&M isn't really having a good season. LOL WUT???

In sum, there is a serious panic and level of delusion that I haven't seen in a while. Keep in mind that these are the same people who try to argue that they alone have dominated the Big 12 despite OU having 8 conference titles to their 3.

Oh and I will swallow the barrel of a gun if I hear one more time that they would have killed Bama had Colt not gotten hurt. They seem to forget that McElroy was not a puss and played injured.

Funny, I really don't even give a shite what they have going on to the point that I have been telling them one by one as they try to start arguments that I don't care if we talk football again. Most of them can't/won't have a legitimate football discussion so it isn't fun anyway. Luckily I have enough SEC friends who can move past us being for different teams and talk about games and the sport without having an agenda.

A&M isn't dodging the longhorns. The exact opposite according to the Cotton Bowl execs and UT sources. They are down and don't want to face us right now. It would interfere with their tactic of toggling between quoting their winning record that includes when A&M was an all-military school and they did not have scholarship limits to beating us the last season. They ignore the fact that we are basically dead even over the last few decades since A&M expanded enrollment.

Amazing how even some SEC fans here buy into that stupid shite. I find that normally SEC fans are a thousand times more educated than Big 12 fans about these things.

Not surprised at all to see a Baylor fan over here trolling. :rotflmao:

Looks like someone came over to check on Daddy.

Yes, thanks for including the century we were an all-military school. All you longhorns with your minor in history should look up the records when scholarship limits were put into place. It might surprise your dumb asses.
Gosh, I guess not being a massive ignorant prick means I'm on the LSU dick.

You seem to have lost all sense of reality in an attempt to be an Internet warrior. We got beat by LSU this season. Do I think we would lose now? No, but it is too late.

I guess we'll all head to fricking Dallas again for the millionth time. At least it is against a good opponent who didn't bitch out to avoid playing us.
Maybe the LSU part of the handle was a sock to begin with. Of anything an LSU fan has to hold over anyone else it is your defense.
IrvingAg, what is your point? LSU won on the field. Stop making excuses no matter how reasoned they are. Very Big 12 of you.
If A&M fans don't care about the Cotton other than a good matchup, why would LSU? So stupid to talk trash especially when you don't know the outcome. I could easily see the SEC step in on that one.

I don't care who we play as long is it is an interesting matchup. Pretty stupid that Texas is avoiding playing us, but OU would be fun. I'd love to see LSU take either of those teams on. They haven't seen anything close to LSU's defense.

Agree on all points. Good post.

Wow, I had this OP nailed as a sip or sip sympathizer way before Titus handed him his arse. You can tell by the language used. Such a dumb arse.

Titus:  and

To my fellow Ags on here trying to answer the OP by coming back with how good we are going to be as if it is fact, let's tap the breaks. Things look good, but you can't predict injuries, bad calls, etc. and we have zero depth in terms of SEC talent. Also, you are just encouraging the closeted sip's bad behavior.
The myth that Tx has and forever will get their choice of recruits is such a joke. When we were up, we got our pick. We then got behind in the facilities race and they got a few guys that were difference makers and helped them take that position in the state. Even now we get guys over them, but honestly we go up against OU more than Tx.
Exactly who is dismissing the impact of Manziel? Seems like people get tired of Aggies giving the credit to Johnny and now you are saying we don't give enough credit. Which is it?

Personally, I think he is the difference along with some other solid freshmen like Evans and Trey Williams and with experienced tackles and special defenders Porter and Moore. But he is definitely THE difference maker. He may scramble around enough to allow our recruiting to catch up.

Nama is the most complete team in the nation. Hope you guys can get back in the race. Biggest win for us in the modern era.
Grateful to be able to post on this thread!

And no we do still have legacy admissions (they are just not automatic anymore), along with Blinn Team, and easy enrollment if you are willing to join the corps.

A&M is a great school but we are not that hard to get into... our acceptance rate is around 65%. Thats good but not great.

tu, baylol, and smu are below 40%... Rice is at 30%.

We need to get down to that rate.

I'm not sure if you are trolling or not, because your data is completely wrong. I have worked with college admissions and ratings for the State of Texas for 20 years and A&M is not easy to get into at all.

I've noticed that a lot of fans on this site have a very outdated image of A&M based on what the case was back in the 70's. The only thing more remarkable than A&M's cultural change over the last 30 years is the way academics has been transformed. A&M was never a crap school academically even then, but if you applied and met some basic requirements, you could get in. It was basically an Ag and Engineering school. Now, A&M has very strong liberal arts, education, business, etc.

A&M does not use legacy admissions at all. Not at all. You are just assuming that it does because it seems like it should. You obviously haven't been the one to listen to people complain because they are a multigeneration Aggie family whose great grandfather played three sports and a kid with an A-average didn't get in.

A&M is incredibly competitive to get into. In fact, other than Vanderbilt, it would be much more difficult to get into A&M than any other SEC school for undergraduate studies. There is no other public school in Texas that is more difficult to get into than A&M and UT. As for private schools, only Rice is more difficult. Baylor/SMU/TCU have incredibly lax academic standards. Not to say that they do not have some very good programs within those schools, but their admissions are much easier than A&M/UT. Rice is far above A&M/UT.

UT does have a higher use of the Top 10% rule to get in (they just moved it to Top 8%) but you have to keep in mind that UT has an international focus that puts pressure on their admissions for other students. In fact, their boasting of their "diversity" numbers is actually largely due to their international enrollment and they even capped their international admissions at one point. Visit campus sometime and talk to some people, and you'll realize that their focus is more international in nature.

Note: All those "hot" girls you see in their longhorn gear are usually from Texas State. In fact, I worked with a girl who was a pom squad member at UT and she was a full-time Texas State student.

The Blinn program is the equivalent to ACC to UT. Those programs are meant to help diversify the schools not fill spots that are open.

As for the idea that it is "easy" to get in if you are willing to join the Corps, that is not accurate. If you are a borderline applicant, it definitely helps over someone who is not going into the Corps when Corps numbers are lower than normal, but when they get up to a healthy level even that doesn't help. They have to meet the same minimum requirements as everyone else.

Your admission numbers on Baylor and SMU are comical. I'm assuming you are quoting numbers that were later blown apart as being falsified to drive up ratings in the college rating systems. There have been whole reports on that issue and Baylor is literally the poster child for doing that. SMU...come on. If you can pay, you get admitted.

I apologize for the long post, but I have tolerated ignorance about A&M's academic standards from SEC fans on this site, but I can't stand a supposed A&M fan spouting off this much inaccuracy.

re: Alabama-a&m

I think Bama's offense will have its way with our defense and I see our offense struggling at the LOS. Speed and size were the difference in both the LSU and Florida games. I think our turnovers in the LSU game did not happen in a vacuum--their defense put a lot of pressure on our offense. Clearly Bama's defense can do the same.

That said, as young as our offense is, every game gives exponentially in terms of experience. Realistically we should get our asses beat in all phases of the game. (Anyone know of a college-aged kicker with strong grades who can kick???) But we all know that there are days where everything clicks for a weaker team while the stronger team struggles with rhythm, turnovers, etc. I think it would take one of those days for us to win, but we do have the tools for that to happen.

Conclusion: We need a miracle but you never know.

This team is nothing like our past teams. If we came in with most of the same players we had last year the comparison might be legit, but we are running a completely different defense and offense with new players at key positions.

But I have to give the benefit of the doubt that early in the game.

I think you got it backwards, buddy. Cramping is a fatigue/hydration issue that should show up later in the game not earlier. Definitely not during the first drive.
