I started on Townes when I was in high school, my mom's side is from Wichita Falls. My grandpa taught me to pick Townes songs and I fell in love with him... listened to him for months at a time.
Without Townes I probably wouldn't have gone down the non mainstream road and found guys like Bingham.
And thats cool you admitted that broyota, I still haven't seen a traditional show of his. I've only seen two festival sets.. but they were great.
