That will not save him there is a large anti-athletic element at every University, asking how can we teach Law if we can't not follow the law ?

Honestly, anyone who has ever been involved from the management side in the hiring process should understand this. You don't have to be an attorney, just know a little about the EEOC and how they work. It only stands to reason that a public entity, especially one supported by the taxpayers, would have to adhere to the highest standards.

Highest paid State employee, check.
Married with 4 kids, check.
Morals clause, check.
Lied to employer while embarassing your State's Flagship University, while cheating on your family WITH a young subordinate female employee,...check!

Some of you will remember Mike Price HC coach for Bama? He was just caught in a strip club and was canned. I think BP has one foot out the door. IMO

dude, you should just call it a night. It doesn't take a lawyer to understand how equal opportunity employment works. You're right that none of us here know if Arky covered their arse and interviewed applicants for this job. But if not and Dorrell was hired on the spot by Petrino, Arkansas can and will be sued by anyone who applied and they'll win.

less than a year away

dude, look at it. he hired someone for a state job that he was frickING and continued to frick after she was hired and didn't even go through the trouble of an interview process.

then there are the claims the girl could easily make like she was only fricking him because he said it was the only way she could get the job. It was a hostile work environment possibly.

That's just off the top of my head without any research at all into EEOC guidelines. Get a clue son.

I could be a shoe salesman and decipher that Petrino isnt gonna make it out of this one alive. The fun is just beginning on this story my friend. This has Jim Tressel written all over it. The cover up and the negative media attention is gonna be the backbreaker. Arky will try to keep him, thats why they put him on leave. But this sint gonna go away and eventually they will have to fire him. Couldnt happen to a more perfect person imo.

I'm sorry but if my coach is doing what Petrino did, I'd expect him to be fired....even if he was averaging 10 wins a season. I wouldn't spin it. In a situation like this, success on the field doesn't matter.

I guarantee you though that the vast majority of yours and every fan base on here wouldn't agree with you if they were winning.

Do you think the majority of Bama fans would want Saban fired over this? LSU fans with Miles? Hell no, they would be acting the same way a large portion of our fanbase is tonight.

Good point his chances would be better at a private school like Miami, the taxpayers dollars the flame the media moths will gravitate to

The only funny thing is none of you will admit how dumb you are in a few months, when Petrino is still coaching. But whatever, I'll entertain all these stupid comments.

Chester, Bama fired a HC after he went to a cheesy little strip club in Pensacaola on the low, low. Yes, they and most major university would can this POS...Just my opinion

True. I learned this when I worked for a privately owned company - their standards are much lower in terms of the steps they have to go through.
