re: Alex Hurst is a good guy

I couldn't be the one to break it. Don't want to piss off my source. Now that someone else brought it up, I can say, yea I heard that too.

And for the record, if Hurst is gone, which is what I am still hearing regardless of Miles' comments, it is a huge hit. You lose another piece of an already shaky unit. I know we have recruited well and all and I'm excited about the future, but if Hurst really did quit we might lose 2-3 more games this year.

How did I cause this? I got word the kid quit. I was just give the rant the heads up on the ensuing meltdown about how Miles has lost his team and kids don't want to play for him. I didn't make Hurst have personal issues.

Ignorance you say?
Sorry buddy. But pot aint physically/mentally addictive like you think it is.
Really?? Where do you get your information? The National Institute on Drug Abuse disagrees with you.
"Long-term marijuana abuse can lead to addiction; that is, compulsive drug seeking and abuse despite the known harmful effects upon functioning in the context of family, school, work, and recreational activities. Estimates from research suggest that about 9 percent of users become addicted to marijuana; this number increases among those who start young (to about 17 percent) and among daily users (25-50 percent).
Long-term marijuana abusers trying to quit report withdrawal symptoms including: irritability, sleeplessness, decreased appetite, anxiety, and drug craving, all of which can make it difficult to remain abstinent. These symptoms begin within about 1 day following abstinence, peak at 2-3 days, and subside within 1 or 2 weeks following drug cessation."

Like I said before, ignorance.

This is the majority of what is done in rehab. Please stop stating your opinions on addiction as if it were fact.

s just misleading and feeds the ignorance of the masses to call it drug rehab when, if it's just pot, he doesn't need rehab. What he might need is counseling on making better decisions. When an obese person won't stop eating big macs, he doesn't go to rehab. Big macs aren't addictive. They're just enjoyable. TM chose to smoke pot bc he enjoys it and the rule against smoking is nonsensical, but he didn't smoke it bc he was addicted.
Sigh. Ignorance.

I missunderstood. Thought you were referring to all people in recovery. I agree there are some sober people who dont participate in recovery that are virtually the same person just void of alcohol or drugs.
