Was he having relations with her when she was a student at arky? That's what it seems like.
He was taking her on autograph appearances etc

Pinkel has done worse? How do you figure?
I'm not bashing Pinkel, nor will I stand up for what CBMFP has done, but Pinkel's crime could have potentially killed someone - and is against the law. Although what CBMFP did is inexcusable, one could argue the lying to his employer etc... was in an effort to save his marriage. AFAIK, he was honest with the police.

He was having an affair with a former student and got her the job with the school.
She already worked for the school. She didn't get hired last week straight out of college. She worked for the Razorback Foundation which is the fundraising arm of the athletic department.

I won't defend what Pinkel did, it was wrong and he paid for it. I just don't think that from a morality standpoint it comes close to Petrino's actions. Pinkel screwed up one night and is lucky no one was hurt. Petrino's actions seem to reflect a very low level of integrity, especially if he was involved with this girl when she was still a student.
I feel bad for Arkansas fans, it sucks to have a coach let you down like this. And I feel for Petrino's family, as well as the girl's fiance. Petrino is obviously a great coach. But I don't see how Arkansas can keep him under the circumstances.

He's signing autographs at an event. Yes, that is exactly the kind of thing that the RAF sets up.

I'm not saying he should have done it... but I understand.
I'm sure he thought it was "just frowned upon".

From a morality stand point, I agree. It's going to be a long day

You don't boot a good FB coach for this.
This. Petrino might be the scum of the earth, but he's a very good coach an that's all that will matter in the end.
Slap on the wrist. He coaches every game next year.

Ark fans who don't think he is going to be fired are naive about the seriousness of fricking a subordinate in the workplace. one that was apparently a student when the relationship began at that.
So thaaat's what happened.

what we need is another bigger scandal somewhere else to take the pressure off and we'll be good.
