3 Things:
1. look at buyouts
2. Pinkel has been at Mizzou twice as long as Petrino at Arkansas. the odds say Pinkel will be gone from Mizzou before Petrino just based on average tenure for coaches at their schools.
3. Petrino has proven he can win in the SEC, Pinkel hasn't. I remember in the mid-2000s when Pinkel was on somewhat of a hot seat in Mizzou, Petrino has never experienced that whatsoever.

Nice attempt at a cover-up, the University should never have issued that release from his family. They should have known it wouldn't be that easy. Especially with the other party being part of the AD staff. With today's 24-hour news cycle, blogs and twitter, nothing stays quiet.
I feel bad for Arkansas fans - even though they trashed Coach Pinkel. I'll take our jumbo drinking coach, thanks.

Yeah, she could be. But if so...why try to cover it up? The statement directly stated the accident involved no one else. Which according to the police report isn't true. If nothing else, they're guilty of very poor judgement that will negatively affect the image of the University. Probably guilty of more.
