The Longhorn's beauty is only skin deep. Their arrogance and unwillingness to play fair are toxic for conference stability. (Ref: A&M, Neb, CU, Mizzou). And other schools in the B12 would leave too, but they don't really have option.

Besides how can I not like a program that finally got Dooley off our hands? Sure that loss hurt at the time but watching Dooley literally quit on the job when we very much had a chance to win erased any and all obstacles to firing him, including the $$$ issues that would have otherwise guaranteed another year for him to destroy anything left by totally the breaking program and the will of fans.

Exactly. And this was one big reason why ku was so butthurt when we left, they had no other options while the Big 12 was teetering. Texas is bad news, and anyone here is foolish wishing they were in the SEC.

I don't think anyone who's followed collegiate sports over the past 25 years or so genuinely wants to see the horns in the conference; several posters just think it's an insult to TAMU to say so.

Incorrect. Johnny Manziel doesn't need to be like Cam Newton, he needs to be JFF. You, just like the media, just hates this kid because he does whatever and still dominates on the football field. Therefore, you pick and point insignificant matters and blow them out of proportion.

I haven't weighed in on Manziel. I do however, come from the old school line of thinking. Right or wrong, Manziel is going to be targeted this year in the SEC. He is a marked man and isn't helping his cause any.

Agreed
He caught a BOATLOAD of shite for the mouth covering celebration after the Bama game, and for celebrating in the student section while the LSU game was still going on that year.
I don't understand JFF's pretty obvious disdain for his own university. That is just strange to me, especially since they were the only ones who wanted to give him a chance, you'd think he'd LOVE the school that helped him become what he has.
